Lila could feel it-tension thick in the air. Both men were carefully measuring each other, their unspoken history and power playing out silently across the small space between them.
Simon stood his ground, shoulders squared, not flinching under Eric’s gaze. Beside him, Jade’s hand tightened around his arm, her presence a quiet anchor. She leaned in slightly, whispering his name in a low, measured voice.
“Oh… you’ve got a wife too,” Eric said, glancing briefly at Jade, a playful lilt in his tone.
“Hello, Mr. Bjorn,” Jade replied politely, her composure impeccable, giving nothing away.
Eric’s lips curved into a faint, amused smile. He gave a slow, deliberate nod toward Lila. “I must take my leave now, Lila. It seems Simon here does not appreciate my presence beside you.”
With that, he turned smoothly, moving through the crowd like a shadow, every step deliberate, every glance back measured.
Lila remained perfectly still, smiling politely, watching him leave. Simon’s jaw tightened subtly, his following Eric until the distance was enough.

Jade squeezed Simon’s arm once more, whispering reassurance. Simon exhaled slowly, his gaze still locked on the path Eric had taken, unspoken words hanging between them.
The gala continued around them, chandeliers glittering, laughter and music filling the air. But Lila’s mind was elsewhere-analyzing, memorizing, noting every shift in posture, every subtle glance.
The night had only begun, and she knew already that this encounter was far from over. Both men had left their mark-one with admiration and challenge, the other with quiet control and caution.
And in the space between them, Lila stood, perfectly poised, waiting, always calculating.
Lila turned her gaze to Simon, the faintest tilt of her head betraying curiosity beneath her composed exterior.
“Did
you two… not in good terms?” she asked softly, her tone polite, almost casual-but there was a sharpness in her eyes that Simon noticed immediately.
“He was…” Simon began, searching for words that could soften the truth. “Back in college… Eric had a way of… stirring other people’s business.” His voice carried a mix of frustration and reluctant amusement. “He could charm and provoke at the same time, always knowing exactly which buttons to push.”
Lila nodded slowly, letting the information settle. Her expression remained serene, yet her mind was far from idle.
Her eyes lingered on Simon for a moment longer, not in judgment, but in calculation. Then, her thoughts shifted-back to Eric, and to the words he had whispered earlier, subtle but heavy: Damon circling her for years, patient, persistent… a predator waiting.
Her fingers brushed lightly over the edge of her glass, unnoticed by Simon, as a small shiver of awareness ran through her.

The thought of him circling, always watching, had settled into her mind like a shadow she couldn’t shake.
Lila’s lips curved faintly, almost imperceptibly, a ghost of a smile. Calm. Polished. Controlled.
But inside, her mind was already strategizing, placing every player, every word, every glance into its proper place.
This gala, these conversations, the people around her-they were all pieces on a board.
And she intended to move first.
Eric returned to the estate, the night quiet around him. The chandeliers cast soft glimmers through the halls, but his mind was already moving faster than the light.
“Filthy dog,” he whispered under his breath, a grin tugging at his lips-not cruel, but amused. “Yeah… I am. And this is the only way to keep you safe from these people.”
He glanced into the room where Maddy slept, the blanket pulled up around her, her chest rising and falling gently. The sight was enough to make him pause—a rare flicker of something softer crossing his expression.
Without making a sound, he moved to the bathroom, letting the warm water of a long shower wash off the tension of the evening. Steam curled into the air, blurring the reflection in the mirror. When he finally stepped out, he walked through the walk-in closet with confidence, the faintest smirk on his lips.
Maddy stood behind Eric, her fingers tightening around the vase she had picked up, a flash of mischief-or something darker-flickering in her eyes. For a heartbeat, it seemed as if she might smash it against his head.
Eric, however, moved faster than expected. His hand shot out, catching her wrist before the vase could tip over. The cold porcelain pressed lightly against his palm, harmless but heavy with implied force.
“Careful,” he said softly, his voice low but calm, a trace of amusement threading through it. “That’s a dangerous game you’re playing, little pet.”
Maddy froze, caught in both surprise and frustration. Her eyes met his over her shoulder, a mixture of defiance and caution. She hadn’t expected him to react so quickly.
Eric didn’t let go. He held her hand gently but firmly, guiding the vase back onto the shelf. “There,” he said. smoothing the tension in the room. “Now it’s safe… and so are you.”
Eric did not let go of her instead he slip his and into her thin nightgown and slid it into her underware, he smirk and whisper into her ear.
“Wearing panties, huh?” Eric look at Maddy’s,” and your’e dry..let me get you excited.” Eric said as he carry maddy into his shoulder and slam her into the bed, spreading her legs apart and ripping her panties.
Rip her nightgown and force his self into her, maddy cried of pain as Eric entered her.

“Please..be gentle.” Maddy beg as her tears roll down on her cheecks, she felt like her body was ripping as Eric continued fucking her hard.
“You mean harder? okay.” Eric said smiling.
After hour of endless pain Maddy feel the pain all over her body Eric was rougher than Mike, she curl at the bedside Eric sat there satisfied.
“Next time I won’t be mercifull, I will rip you apart remeber that.” Eric said and left her.
Maddy lay there for a long while, the weight of the day pressing down on her like a shadow she couldn’t shake. Her mind wandered, spinning with questions she had no answers for. Who was Eric, really? What did he want? Why was she caught in this web, unable to pull free?
Slowly, she pushed herself upright, her body aching in more ways than one. She made her way to the bathroom, each step heavy, her reflection in the mirror catching the dim light. Marks and bruises traced across her skin-a testament to the life she had been forced to endure..
She traced a finger lightly over the fading impressions, staring at herself as though seeing a stranger. “Where did I go wrong?” she whispered to the empty room. “Why is Lila able to take what she wants… while I…” Her voice faltered, caught in the ache of humiliation and exhaustion.
The question lingered, unanswered. The contrast between them burned in her chest-Lila, powerful, untouchable, commanding the world with ease; and Maddy, trapped, forced to navigate someone else’s rules just to survive.
Her hands clenched at her sides, nails digging into her palms. The pain reminded her she was still alive. Still breathing. Still… capable.
And for the first time in a long while, she felt something ignite beneath the fatigue-a flicker of determination. If Lila could rise, then maybe… maybe she could find a way to reclaim herself, piece by piece.
Maddy’s eyes hardened as she stared into the mirror, focusing not on the bruises, not on the fear-but on the spark that refused to die.
“I will find a way,” she murmured, voice low but steady. “I’ll find my own power. My own path.”
The room was quiet, but for Maddy, the silence carried a new kind of promise-a promise of patience, of planning, of a fire that would not be extinguished.
She turned from the mirror, her back straighter now, her steps firmer. The night was far from over, and neither was she.
