There's No Love In the Deathzone (BL) novel Chapter 622

Chapter 622: Side Story 1. The Twilight Zone - 4

When Zein opened his eyes, it took him a while to realize where he was.

He stared at the soft mana light and solid ceiling with exquisite engraving; tall and white and clean. When was the last time he saw anything that wasn’t the interior of a tent? He almost forgot. Even after a few days of getting back to civilization, he still forgot.

After spending a night with his family in the lakeside house, they visited the cemetery to greet Svadiva, and immediately plunged into business without rest. They had a meeting with their lawyer and financier after a long time, checking on their finance and calculating their fund, because Bassena was not playing.

He went straight to a contractor and made a contract to build their house before everyone swept all available contractors for the Eastern Shore’s development. He wouldn’t even yield to Radia and Mortix about this.

Afterward, Zein visited his academy, eliciting excitement from both the staff and the students. Suddenly, there was an impromptu fan meeting--which confused him because he was no longer an active guide.

It was quite funny, but people were more eager to see him because of his retirement, because it meant they had no idea when they could ever meet him again. After a brief contemplation, Zein felt it made sense--because he truly planned to keep quiet in his home, and only came out when he was needed--so he decided to humor these guides a little bit.

Of course, they had to visit Trinity--even if Zein was no longer a member. He returned the badge, which made it final and actually made some staff and guides cry. Abel, a young father now, just chuckled as usual and told him that he should give a warning about something like that.

"At least, give us a chance to throw a farewell party or something."

"The kids already did," Zein shrugged. "And I don’t like parties."

Abel just laughed and thanked them for the baby gifts.

It was a lot to be tackled in just two days, so they decided to rest and spend their time at home the next day.

Which was the day Zein woke up without any alarm, staring at the ceiling in confusion.

The sun had climbed slightly, so he must have been quite tired from the whirlwind of events the past days. Or rather...it was probably from meeting too many people. He was meant to check on the orphanage and return the Saint Staff to the Temple, but...

Well, it wasn’t like they were in a rush.

He arched his back slightly and patted the other side of the bed as a habit. The degree of heat told him how long Bassena had left the bed.

About twenty minutes. Zein climbed off the bed and washed his face in the sink, before getting out and following the wafting smell of breakfast to the kitchen.

This old thing wasn’t very hard to get used to. If anything, he had been waiting for this kind of morning; waking up to Bassena in the kitchen making their breakfast before doing whatever they were supposed to be doing for the day.

Unconsciously, it had become his ’normal’. Their normal. To wake up thinking about breakfast rather than ’Ah, I’m alive today too’.

It was a bliss.

It was a bliss going out of bed only wearing his lover’s shirt and a boxer shorts. And it was a bliss watching said lover in front of the stove, humming.

"You’re up?" Bassena greeted him with a bright smile--almost as bright as the sun outside. "I forgot to buy groceries last night, so we have to make do with some frozen stuff. I’ll try to make it decent somehow--or do you want to order takeouts instead?"

Zein yawned and laid his head on the esper’s back. "No need," he mumbled sleepily, hands circling Bassena’s waist.

"Then wait a bit," Bassena laughed and patted the arms around his waist, but Zein only mumbled without letting go.

Not that Bassena would complain. It was rare for Zein to act clingy, so he savored every moment when it happened. Besides, he wasn’t cooking anything too complex--surely someone of his caliber could cook something simple without moving from the front of the stove.

"So?" fгeewebnovёl.com

"I got horny when I saw you."

Again, Bassena could only curse while pressing his fingers past the guide’s entrance. He had to press his lips against the fair neck to stifle his groan, because Zein truly did not hold back on his moans--and his desire while at it--ever since they got imprinted.

It was like the last stopper between them had been destroyed, to be filled with their new bond. It wasn’t a strange thing for Bassena to express how much he worshiped Zein’s existence, but that sentiment had been reciprocated fairly these days. The esper could feel it, how much Zein desired him--not just his body, but also his presence, his heart, his existence...

Sometimes, Bassena wondered if he was truly deserving such a blessing.

Like this time, when Zein was calling his name, praising him, telling him how good he felt inside and telling him to go deeper, harder, and especially...especially when Zein always told him to spill everything inside.

And ah...what did Bassena do to deserve watching such a blissful expression appear on that pretty face? Or the way those glistening lips parted to let out a soft stuttered breath before sighing his name?

And what about the way those blue eyes flickered and the long dark eyelashes fluttered in pleasure?

Bassena felt so, so undeserving and happy all the same. Even after moving so aggressively because of the provocation, he held the guide tightly in his arms and pressed his face on the guide’s shoulder to digest the overwhelming emotions welling up inside his heart.

Only when he felt the heart beating with the same pace as him, and the gentle caress accompanied by a soft word of praise over his ears, did he regain a confirmation that yes--this precious, precious person in his embrace was his lover, his fiance, his imprinted guide.

"Haha..." Zein chuckled and looked down, gently caressing his abdomen. "Yeah, this is a nice breakfast."

"Pervert," Bassena whispered against the smiling lips, feeling amused by the guide’s increased perverse talk while stroking the waist reddened by his grip. "Well, are you satisfied now?"

Zein looked up, twisting his hips to feel Bassena inside him, still half-hard even after spilling so much. He smirked and licked his lips. "Not yet," he grabbed his esper’s shoulder and laughed at the soft curse coming from Bassena’s lips. "I can still eat some more."
