fighter. She felt her life was in danger and she asked Shena for help, making that stupid woman important, making her to feel important, because Arlene owed Shena her life.
Little did Shena know, every night the three omegas inside the tent would mix her drink with a sleeping drought, which made Shena fall into a deep sleep.
That was why, when the chaos erupted and the rogues started attacking them, she didn’t wake up, even when the beast entered the tent and killed her, she was dead in her sleep. What a pity…
But, obviously, Arlene was not sorry at all for her dead.
It was her own fault for being too stupid. As the supposed to be the first alpha woman after two decades, Shena should be smarter than that. What a pity that she didn’t meet the expectation.
“That’s okay, you should be rewarded for your excellent job. You keep me alive.” Arlene knelt down, so she would be in an eye level with the warrior. She looked at him closely and then leaned over to kiss his cheek. Well done.”

YOU DID A GOOD JOB
The warrior was surprised by the sudden kiss. He widened his eyes and didn’t know what to do. Of course, he knew how this princess used to act around men and he wouldn’t have been the first warrior, who fell to her charm.
However, along with that, he also heard about a few things that he shouldn’t have known, the aftermath of those warriors, who spent the forbidden moment with princess Arlene.
“Princess, I…” He stuttered when Arlene pressed her lips against his.

Alpha Zenos had personally came to escort Fenja to his pack territory along with little Jaxon.
“I will assure their safety, alpha Xaden. I will protect your mate and your son with my life,” Alpha Zenos said with a conviction.
He was a young alpha and was on the same age like Xaden, but it was only two years ago that he got the title, because his father died during one of the battles against the Sakaris kingdom.
“Thank you,” Xaden replied firmly.
Currently, to keep it low, Zenos came with only five warriors of his own, but there would be more, who would join them once he reached his pack territory.
And before that, they would still be inside Xaden’s territory, therefore it was relatively safe for Fenja to go with small number of warriors without attracting unnecessary attention.
“Are you sure to do this? There will be victims in your pack.” Zenos didn’t doubt Xaden, and his intelligence, he had to admit that the other alpha was smarter than him.
However, even he himself knew the path that Xaden took was too risky.
“Either I do this or not, the result will be the same, there will be victims in every battle, we both knows that.” Xaden stared at Fenja, who was talking to Kane. Ailee and Fern would come with her too, so she wouldn’t be
alone.
“I know.” Zenos nodded. His brown hair and brown eyes, which he inherited from his father. Many people said that he looked exactly like the previous alpha in his youth. “Be careful. There are people waiting for you.”

THE FAIL OF THE PLAN
THE FAIL OF THE PLAN
Fenja was holding Jaxon in her arms when Xaden approached her and hugged her from behind.
“Dada.. da…” Jaxon giggled, as he kissed his father and laughed heartily when Xaden kissed him back. His scent was so calming, it was a pity that Xaden couldn’t see him for a long while.
“You have to go,” Xaden said to Fenja. He kissed her hair.
There were many people around them and from the corner of her eyes, Fenja saw how Kane immediately turned back when he saw Xaden was being lovey dovey with her.
She would have been mortified if it was in the past, but right now, Fenja didn’t care much. She wanted him to hug her like this forever.
All the warriors around them suddenly had a weird interest to see the ground or the sky, even Fern and Ailee quickly walked away, as if they had forgotten something.
“I can stay here. You only need to say a word. I will stay.” Fenja turned around and looked at Xaden in the eyes, while his arms still wrapped around her body.
Xaden wanted to pull her closer, merged her with himself, but Jaxon was between them. The baby frowned because he was being squeezed in the middle.
“You have to go,” Xaden said again with heaviness. “You have to go.” The second time he said it was more for himself, telling him that this was the best decision for now.
“You don’t want me to go, right?”
“I don’t want you to go, but that’s not the right thing to do.” Xaden caressed her cheek and then leaned over to kiss both Fenja and Jaxon.
“Okay.” Fenja nodded, she lowered her head and kiss his hand. “You have to come back to see me. You have t
“I know. I will come as soon as possible to get you.”
And for a long moment, they didn’t say anything, they only shared each other’s presence and touch. Even that long night couldn’t squash their desire to be with one another.
It was so crazy that they could hold it back for this long.
Xaden couldn’t believe the moment he let go of his control over his desire for her, and stopped distancing himself from his mate, the feeling came pouring out like a broken dam and letting her go was the hardest part of his plan.
“Be safe. Do whatever you have to do to be safe.” Fenja tiptoed and kissed him on the lips, she was trembling slightly because she couldn’t hold back her feeling.
“I will.” Xaden then helped her to get into the carriage, by this time Jaxon was already asleep. The little one could sleep everywhere, at any time.
And with that, alpha Zenos shifted into his brown beast and escorted the small entourage along with his other five warriors in their beast form too, while Fern and Ailee sat on the coachmen seat.
It was almost afternoon when Fenja and the other left for the Black Moon pack, and Xaden stood in his place, staring at the distance, until he couldn’t see them again.
Even then, he still stayed there for another minutes, until Kane approached him with bad news.
“Rize failed. Arlene is still alive.” Kane looked at Xaden grimly, because that was not the worse part of the news he was going to tell him. “But, Shena is dead.”
“What Do you mean?” his eyes darkened. He didn’t care about Shena in the slightest, but she was not supposed to be dead, especially not when she was surrounded by the senior warriors from his pack, when she was under his pack’s responsibility.
“I don’t know. Not sure. Rize is on the way here, but he sent an urgent message about it. He only mentioned that he killed Shena instead of princess Arlene.”
THE FAIL OF THE PLAN
Kane handed the small letter that the eagle had delivered. Kane was right, there was nothing much that Rize had written there.
It was understandable because the message could be interrupted and it would put all of their plan into a jeopardy more than this.
On the letter Rize also said that he was on the way back, so the only thing that they could do now was to wait for him to be here.
