Chapter 304 #h lung Reunion

Three days had been spent traveling and meeting her ordine friends. The last day was reserved for completing the mission.

Today was that final day. The target lived in a detached house.

Maya stood in the shadows at the corner of the street and adjusted her baseball building.

Three stories, plus an attic. The outside walls were painted cream white, and vines climbed over the iron fence.

All the windows were covered by dark curtains, making it impossible to see inside.

The streetlight barely reached the front porch. Darkness swallowed everything beyond it.

The information Maya had received was vague. She only had the address, not even a picture of the target.

But an address was enough.

All she had to do was kill whoever was inside.

With practiced ease, Maya picked the

her head, and slipped inside.

The moment she stepped into the house, Lucy contacted the team outside and told them to get ready.

Maya moved quietly upstairs. She planned to check the owner’s bedroom first.

Just as her hand turned the doorknob, she heard a faint rustling sound.

Her instincts screamed that something was wrong. She immediately stepped back.

But the other side had already prepared for the ambush.

People below raised their guns and closed in from every direction, trapping her in a small open space.

The bedroom door suddenly flew open. Lucy rushed out, her gun aimed directly at the back of Maya’s

head.

“Get down,” she ordered coldly.

At the same time, Chance slowly walked up from the staircase, blocking her escape.

The man had soft blond hair, smiling eyes, and a grin on his face.

“Gotcha.” He looked at the mysterious girl in the cap and smiled maliciously. “Silent Archive’s little lapdog.”

He tilted his head, as if admiring an interesting collectible. “Come on. Unit Nine’s little assassin, codename Everbloom. You’re under arrest. Someone wants to see you. Come with me.”

He spoke confidently, chin raised slightly, completely sure of himself.

The guns around Maya never wavered.

Even while surrounded. Maya was still planning her escape.

She was fast. With her skills, dodging bullets was possible.

She could rush upstairs, kill the people hiding inside, then jump out a window and escape. The plan was perfect. Then, a familiar voice reached her cars,

Maya suddenly looked up. Just as she expected, she saw someone she knew.

She blinked. “Lucy?”

Lucy’s smile froze.

The moment Maya spoke, it felt like a dozen thoughts slammed together in her head. Her mind went completely blank.

“Chance?” This time, Maya’s tone was odd.

Chance wasn’t doing any better.

The smug grin vanished from his face. His eyes widened. He looked like he was somewhere between shock and total collapse.

He nearly dropped his gun.

“Maya?!”

The people around them looked at each other, completely lost. They had no idea what was happening.

Maya looked at the way the two of them were holding their guns.

Then she thought about how she had been surrounded the second she entered the target’s house.

In an instant, she understood. She finally knew why the two people she had just met yesterday were here tonight.

Chapter 304 Three Moves to Defeat

She had walked right into the frap.

Oddly enough, Maya’s first reaction wastit fear it was irritation:

She took one quick step forward and kicked the gun out of Chance’s hand. Then she drove her knee into his stomach and shoved him backward into the main bedroom in one smooth, brutal move

Chance grunted in pain and quickly shouted to the people behind him. “Don’t move! We got the wrong person!”

Lucy had already been hiding inside the bedroom. The moment they came in, she stepped aside to make room for them.

Then she shut the door and cut off the subordinate outside.

Only three people remained in the room.

Lucy stood by the door, her back against it, still holding her gun.

But the muzzle had dropped toward the floor. Her expression was unreadable, and her breathing had become uneven.

Her world had just collapsed.

“You’re Everbloom?”

Chance leaned against the wall and stared at the girl in disbelief.

At that moment, he felt as if his entire worldview had shattered. Still, a tiny part of him struggled to deny it. Maybe it was just a coincidence. He and Maya had known each other for years. Their conversations had always been about everyday life and school.

She had always been a good kid.

But the moment Maya heard him speak, her anger flared again.

She didn’t want to hear another word from him.

The little patience she still had for him disappeared the second he called her “Silent Archive’s lapdog.”

Without warning, she swept her leg at him. Chance’s instincts kicked in, and he flattened himself against the wall to dodge.

Her second attack followed immediately-a side kick aimed straight at his temple.

If it landed, he would die.

Chance was stunned by her ruthlessness.

He was trained for combat, but compared to a Silent Archive assassin, he was nothing. At close range, he

would be taken out in seconds.

And both of them had underestimated Maya.

She moved like a spirit. Three steps, and he couldn’t even see her clearly before the kick was already there.

Less than an inch away.

Her leg, carrying the aura of death, stopped abruptly just short of his temple. Maya lowered her foot and smiled.

“Were you here to capture me?”

Lucy’s heart nearly jumped out from her throat.

She knew Silent Archive didn’t keep dead weight. But she had never expected Chance to lose in less than three moves.

She took a deep breath.

“Are you really Everbloom?”

Maya tilted her head and answered lightly. “Yep.”

She smiled. “You were running a sting operation to catch me?”

Chance’s pounding heart slowly calmed down when Maya stopped attacking him.

Leaning against the wall, he closed his eyes. The back of his shirt was soaked with sweat.

“What a coincidence.” He forced a smile and pretended nothing was wrong. “Maya, you’re actually an assassin.”

The moment the words left his mouth, the room fell silent.

Before this, he could still lie to himself. Maybe it was all a misunderstanding. Maybe it was just a coincidence. But after getting taken down in three moves, Chance couldn’t fool himself anymore.
