This Time, I'll Be the Villain's Favorite Daughter novel Chapter 325

Chapter 325 The Never Ending Chase

Maya didn’t hesitate “Lead the way.”

Finished

The two of them moved carefully through the corridors, avoiding several active firefights. They squeezed through a maintenance passage that was almost completely blocked by debris.

Dust smeared across Maya’s clothes, leaving her looking a little dusty and disheveled.

Toby leaned against the wall. He had been waiting there for quite some time.

He had placed his men about 60 feet behind him, leaving only two bodyguards within ten steps.

When he heard the faint rustling, like a small animal scurrying nearby, he straightened instinctively and adjusted his posture.

He was ready to meet Maya.

His gaze fixed on the path ahead, the one she had to pass through.

Maya instinctively peeked around the corner first.

She was dumbfounded the moment she caught sight of a familiar figure.

Toby turned his head at the same time.

His breath hitched slightly.

His little sister stood there, peeking out, her eyes bright as ever.

But before he even registered her face, he saw the color.

Green.

Fluffy, vivid green, glowing under the emergency lights.

It took Toby a full second to process the emotional damage that color caused.

Lucy glanced at the man blocking the exit.

The man’s looks made her pause for a second.

His features were striking in every way, like a black rose in full bloom, dark, vivid, and edged with thorns.

Dangerous, yet dazzling.

There was something about him, beautiful and deadly at once.

But the moment Toby spoke, the mood was completely ruined. He tightened his grip on the gun in his hand, his voice cold, edged with disbelief. “Maya? What happened to your hair?”

Maya fell silent.

Chapter 325 The Never Ending Chase

The instant she saw Toby, she wanted to fight them all.

Is this ever going to end?

She shot him a glare, then grabbed Lucy and turned in another direction.

So they’re all here to block me?

Fine. I’ll just keep changing routes.

Toby had never imagined that after all this time apart, the first thing Maya would do upon seeing him was ignore him.

“Did I say you guys can leave?” Toby said coldly.

Every word dripped with quiet, unquestioned arrogance.

Maya couldn’t understand.

Why did Toby always sound like some scheming villain whenever he opened his mouth?

Lucy’s heart skipped.

She noticed the men behind Toby.

There were at least a dozen of them, all dressed in black/tactical gear, each with a gun at their waist.

The moment Toby finished speaking, they all raised their weapons in unison, dark barrels aimed directly at the two of them.

Lucy’s fingers tightened as her voice trembled. “H-he has a gun…”

Maya wasn’t afraid.

She scoffed.

Still holding Lucy, she turned and walked straight toward the exit.

She didn’t even bother responding to Toby.

Toby stood there, his expression stiff.

Then his handsome face twisted slightly.

“Maya!” His voice rose sharply as he watched her leave. The cold arrogance cracked, replaced by irritation and disbelief.

“You’re ignoring me?”

Maya stuck her tongue out at him, like she’d done it a hundred times.

After years of arguing with him, it carried a clear message.

Chapter 328 The Never Ending Chase

Not talking to you. Stay mad.

She disappeared in just a few quick steps.

Toby took a deep breath, his expression unreadable.

One of his sharper subordinates, seeing the situation, was about to pull the trigger to help capture her.

Toby spoke coldly again, his expression darkening. “You’re dead if you hurt her.”

They all stiffened instantly and lowered their guns.
