Ned knew that when it came to cruelty, he was actually far inferior to his older brother.
Raymond glanced at his younger brother and smiled. “Still soft–hearted.
“If it were me, they wouldn’t have made it out of the interrogation room.”
He leaned back and added lazily, “You always like letting them go, but we are assassins, not a charity organization.”
Ned fell silent.
He had just been mocked.
If it had been anyone else, it would have been fine.
But the one mocking him was Raymond, a man who spent his days half–asleep, pushed all family matters onto his younger brother, and still lay on the sofa like a decorative item without any guilt.
His expression darkened slightly, and his voice turned cold. “The Silent Archive isn’t the only thing I handle, Raymond. You man who built your life by relying on women, do you know how many family businesses I have to sign, approve, and manage?”
Raymond knew he was at fault.
He immediately shut his mouth, raised his hand, and smiled innocently. “Sorry bro. Please continue.
“Take your time. I won’t interrupt.”
After Maya grew up, the clothes she wore to school were all chosen by herself. After searching through her wardrobe, she picked a red and white dress and looked at herself in the mirror. The skirt had a light ruffled edge that lifted slightly when she turned.
She picked up the doll placed beside the bed and clipped it to her waist.
This was a toy Alfred had given her when she was seven.
When she was small, Maya kept it by her bed and hugged it to sleep. After she grew older, the doll became too small to hold, so it stayed on the headboard.
As an accessory, the doll looked especially cute.
After getting ready and finishing breakfast, Alfred was still moving slowly.
Maya didn’t wait for him. She went to school by car first.
Their classroom didn’t really have fixed seats because many students often skipped class.
Everyone could sit wherever they liked.

Maya peeked into the classroom and observed the situation inside. She took a deep breath and prepared herself mentally before walking in.
It was very lively that day.
Sophia and Iris were sitting together.
Phoebe and Jenny were gathered together for comfort.
Most importantly, Lawrence was actually there too.
When Lawrence was young, he already had delicate features. Now that he was older, his appearance became even more refined, with a natural mixed–race charm. His eyes curved slightly. When he wasn’t smiling, he looked a little gloomy. When he smiled even slightly, he appeared very gentle.
At a glance, he looked like the kind of person who liked pretending to be well–behaved while being dangerous.
Perhaps because of twin instinct, Lawrence noticed her immediately.
He originally wanted to greet her, but the words paused on his lips.
“Hey,” Lawrence said softly. “The doll at your waist looks a little familiar.”
Maya said, “Does it?
“Alfred gave it to me.”
Lawrence naturally took her hand and led her to sit beside him, nodding. “It looks like the doll we had when we were little.”
Maya knew that when he said when they were little, he meant their previous life. She tried to recall it.
Her past life wasn’t a pleasant memory for Maya. Because of her body’s protective mechanism, she often selectively forgot parts of it.
Lawrence, however, liked remembering the past. He remembered everything clearly. He said with certainty, “We had something similar when we were children.”
‘So which toy of ours does it resemble?” Maya smiled and poked his face.
The boy followed her movement and tilted his head slightly. “It looks a bit like… our sweetheart from when we were small.”
Maya tilted her head as well.
Their heads bumped lightly, and they looked at each other.
Their identical eyes met, reflecting the similar features of the person opposite.
“Really.” Lawrence looked at her like that, his expression softening as he pulled her into the memory. “It was your favorite doll. You even said it was our sweetheart and that we had to protect it together.”
