For a while, Fenja blinked her eyes in confusion, because she didn’t expect this at all. And to be honest, she was mesmerized by the way his eyes twinkled with joy, even though she was not sure why he suddenly laughed.
you really think that way?” Xaden asked, he pressed his forehead against her lightly for a while before he moved away to look at her in the eyes.
“Think what way?” Fenja was still confused with the outburst of his laughter.
“I can hear your thought, Fenja. I don’t know why you didn’t conceal your thought from me.” He tapped Fenja’s head lightly.
“No… No way.” Fenja was mortified. “I conceal my thought.” If anything, she didn’t think she could mindlink
anyone.
She realized it when Alec entered her bedroom when she was alone with Jaxon that she couldn’t mindlink the other warriors nearby for help. Thankfully, Kane came in time and took him away.
“Alec entered this room?” Xaden’s joyful expression disappeared, he narrowed his eyes dangerously. Kane and Rize didn’t say anything about this.
However, in their defense, there were a lot of things that happened that Xaden needed to know, the information about Alec simply slipped out of their mind, because they didn’t think of him as important. “That…” Fenja was startled, she was thinking about it out of instinct, she didn’t mean to tell Xaden. No, she thought he already knew about it. “He didn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t ask him to come… I…”

I TRUST YOU
Once again, panic gripped her heart, causing her to have a hard time to breathe.
“Fenja.” Xaden cupped her face when he heard her racing mind. He knew there was nothing happened between them, or else, Fenja would have thought about it.
For whatever reason, Fenja seemed not to be able to hide her thought from him.
“Fenja, I know. I know there was nothing happened.” Xaden rubbed her cheeks with his thumbs to get her attention. “I know, there was nothing happened.”
Tears slid down from Fenja’s eyes. She bit her lip to suppress her feeling, telling herself to stop her ridiculous thought.
However, it was hard to do that when her mind was plagued with anxiety. Xaden had misunderstood her the first time about Alec and she didn’t have a chance to explain it to him, and now, this happened. What if…
“No. I trust you.” Xaden leaned over and kissed her on the lips. “I trust you.”

Shena was furious because the alpha left the entourage. He went ahead of them and she just learned about it when it was already too late.
Shena was glad that Xaden didn’t kill her after what she tried to do, but then she was not really good with the schemes in the palace or the political matter in this kingdom. She didn’t understand why the king told her to confess about what he ordered her to do.
Well, that saved her life from Xaden’s hand because she had a good reason to do it. No one could deny the direct order from the king.
However, why?
What the purpose of the king to give her such an order? The king seemed to know that she would fail to seduce Xaden and gave her a way out.
Shena couldn’t sleep, she kept thinking about all the possibility when someone suddenly entered her tent. Her first instinct was to get angry, snap at anyone who dared enough to barge in.
But then, Shena saw the princess.

SHE WOULD DO EVERYTHING TO KEEP THEM SAFE
Shena was surprised when she saw princess Arlene was inside her tent. She was still annoyed because she barged in without any announcement, or at the very least, asked permission first.
But then, she was a royal, someone in higher rank than her, what else she could do?
“Princess Arlene…” Shena immediately stood up from her makeshift bed. She bowed her head in respect, simply because the woman before her had the highest rank, or else, she wouldn’t have done it. “What brings you here late in the evening.”
Arlene looked around the tent. Shena’s tent was not as big as hers, since she had to carry everything herself, while the princess had a small entourage of warriors and three omegas, who would take care of her needs along the journey to the north.
Shena was well aware why the princess went to the north. She was going to be Xaden’s mate, the future luna of the pack.
