Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 346

Bonnie hadn't wanted him to know she was hurt, but Perry's big mouth had ruined everything.

Defeated, she sat on a concrete barrier by the construction site, waiting for Lawrence.

They hadn't seen each other in weeks. She hadn't intentionally pushed him away; her feelings were just a chaotic, tangled mess.

When she was busy, it was easy to ignore. But in the quiet moments—watching June play with his toys, looking at the furniture he had built, or glancing at the curtain hiding the loft doors—her mind would drift back to him.

She would picture him sitting on her floor, meticulously assembling a coffee table.

She would remember him standing in the rain outside her window, radiating frustration. She wasn't blind. She knew exactly how he felt.

But they had silently agreed to play the part of friends.

Yet, after everything they had survived—the love, the toxic misunderstandings, the devastating heartbreak—could they really just wipe the slate clean? Could they truly bury all that history and just be buddies?

She honestly didn't know.

Resting her chin in her hand, she stared blankly at the dilapidated historic mansions. They had seen a century of glory, war, decay, and now, rebirth.

Everything went through cycles of pain and growth.

Bonnie let out a long, heavy sigh.

Perry, having finished his photography, walked over just in time to hear it.

Bonnie stared at him. "Have you sorted out your own love life before lecturing me? Go enjoy your birthday dinner."

Perry grinned. "Yvonne told me not to leave until someone picked you up."

"It's 'Yvonne' now, is it?" Bonnie chuckled. "So, what's your game plan?"

Perry's goofy demeanor vanished, replaced by a fierce, undeniable determination. "I'm going to win her over. I refuse to walk away from the woman I want. Even if we date and it implodes in a month, I need to know I tried. I'm not living with 'what ifs'."

His words struck her like a physical blow. A sudden, uncomfortable realization crawled up her spine, leaving a trail of questions she wasn't ready to answer.

Before she could process it, a sleek, black Maybach pulled up to the curb. It was a massive departure from the flashy, arrogant Koenigsegg of his youth. The understated luxury mirrored the man he had become—controlled, powerful, and deeply grounded.
