Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 433

The pregnancy was taking a massive toll on Lawrence's sanity.

He just wanted her to eat something, anything. But no matter how much he coaxed her, Bonnie would just say 'anything is fine,' only to manage two bites before the nausea hit. If she forced down more, she'd throw it right back up.

So right now, let alone hotpot, if she had asked for dragon meat from heaven, he would have found a way to hunt it down.

Lawrence pulled her against his chest and rubbed her back soothingly. "Alright, let's get dressed. We're going to get you some hotpot."

Even though she could be a little demanding with him, Bonnie still felt a twinge of guilt. She pointed at the heavy curtains. "It's snowing. Are they even open this late?"

Lawrence looked completely unfazed. He scooped her up in his arms and carried her straight into the walk-in closet.

He dressed her in layers, wrapping her in a massive white puffer coat that reached her ankles, a thick beanie, and a warm scarf. He just threw on some casual clothes and a jacket, and they were out the door.

When Lawrence parked in front of The Copper Kettle, which was still surprisingly packed, Bonnie leaned over the center console. She rolled the window down just a crack. Through the falling snow, she saw the thick, heated winter tents set up outside the restaurant, packed with people eating and drinking.

It was an iconic spot in Cabinda. They used to eat here all the time; Bonnie was obsessed with their handmade meatballs.

The rich scent of the broth hit her, but instead of nausea, her stomach growled furiously.

Her eyes lit up as she turned back to him, throwing herself into his arms to plant a kiss on his cheek. "How did you know they'd be open?"

Lawrence ducked his head to kiss her lips. "I've memorized every 24-hour spot near our house. I can't let my Candie go hungry."

Ever since she got pregnant, Lawrence had spent all his free time lurking on maternity forums. He had never cared about social media before, but now he was navigating the pregnancy threads like an absolute pro.

He had read countless posts about women getting sudden, intense cravings in the middle of the night.
