Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 443

"No wonder," Bonnie said, her voice dripping with affection. "No wonder I thought this bouquet was the most beautiful one in the world."

Hayden tipped his little chin up, practically glowing with pride.

The three of them went out for a lavish Christmas Eve dinner in the city. By the time they returned to their hotel suite, Hayden was dead to the world, asleep against his dad's shoulder.

Lawrence carried him into the bathroom to wash him up and brush his teeth, while Bonnie found some vases provided by the hotel. She carefully trimmed the stems of her flowers and arranged them perfectly.

Just as she finished and turned around, two strong arms wrapped around her waist from behind.

Lawrence buried his face in the crook of her neck, pressing hot kisses beneath her ear. "God, I missed you," he murmured, his voice thick and husky.

She had missed him too. It had been a long week apart. Over the years of their marriage, these brief separations had happened occasionally, usually due to conflicting business trips.

But every time they reunited, the sheer intensity of it felt like they were right back in the honeymoon phase.

This time was no exception. Bonnie turned in his arms, looping her hands around his neck and pulling him down into a searing, desperate kiss. After a long, breathless moment, she pulled back just enough to whisper, "Is he asleep?"

"Out cold. He won't interrupt us."

Satisfied, Bonnie let her fingers deliberately toy with the buttons on Lawrence's shirt. Catching the blatant signal, Lawrence let out a low, dark chuckle, effortlessly sweeping her off her feet and carrying her toward the master bedroom.

They had been apart for too long, and the restraint shattered instantly. They barely made it through the door, a mess of tangled limbs and desperate kisses that ended up carrying them straight into the massive, steam-filled shower.

After a fast, explosive first round against the tiles, Lawrence wrapped her in a towel and carried her to the massive king-sized bed, fully intending to take his time for round two.

Suddenly, a distinct *thump-thump-thump* echoed from the door.

Lawrence froze, convinced he had imagined it. The presidential suite was enormous, and the master bedroom was quite a distance from the front door. He leaned down to capture Bonnie's lips again, only for the knocking to start up a second time.

Bonnie heard it loud and clear. She shot him a withering glare, mouthing, *"Your son!"*

Lawrence let out a frustrated groan, running a hand through his damp hair. He tossed Bonnie her silk robe, threw on his own pajama pants, and marched to the door. Yanking it open, he found Hayden standing there in his cartoon pajamas, clutching his stuffed dog in one arm, his other tiny fist raised to knock again.
