Bonnie wasn't having it. "Don't you dare! If you go behind my back and talk to my mom, I'll reject you right here, right now!"

Lawrence smirked, thoroughly enjoying himself. "So you're saying, if I keep my mouth shut, you'll say yes?"

Realizing she had walked straight into his trap, Bonnie sputtered. Shoving hard against his chest, she flared up like a cornered kitten. "Stop twisting my words! Just do what I say!"
