Bonnie rolled her eyes affectionately. "Gosh, why does this snow taste so bitter? Did someone spill their jealousy all over the sky?"
"Don't even start," Lawrence grumbled. "How many times did I call you? Why didn't you answer? What were you talking about with your precious senior in the studio? So absorbed you couldn't even pick up your phone?"
"Why are you yelling at me?" Bonnie protested. "My phone died, and I didn't have my charger. It's not like I did it on purpose!"
She stood her ground, pouting adorably. Lawrence's anger vanished in an instant. He hooked an arm around her waist, pulled her close, and, seeing the coast was clear, pressed a flurry of kisses to her lips.
"How many times have I told you to keep a spare charger in the studio? Didn't I just buy you one? Where did it go?"
Bonnie had completely forgotten. "The studio is a mess. Someone probably grabbed it by mistake."
Everyone's brushes, paints, paper, and drawing boards were always getting mixed up.
"Fine, I'll buy you another one," Lawrence sighed. "And put a name tag on it."
Bonnie nodded, looking rather pleased with herself.
"So what did you and Preston talk about?" Lawrence pressed. "Didn't I tell you to ignore him? The guy who texted you last Saturday night was him too, wasn't it?"
"You remember that so clearly? I even forgot about it. So petty," she teased.
Since they started dating, she thought she'd be the one feeling insecure, anxious, and constantly second-guessing things. It turned out to be the exact opposite.
Sometimes Lawrence would even check her phone on a whim.
He was so possessive.
