She insisted, "I'll sleep in my bed."

He moved her further into the bed and sat beside her. She watched as he pulled the blanket over her and lay down on her side.

A small nightlight dimly illuminated the room.

"Lila," he interrupted her, wrapping her gently in his arms. "We're married now. Sharing a bed isn't inappropriate."

He patted her back softly. "I won't do anything. Just sleep tight. Okay?"

Lila felt relieved that the dim lighting hid her flushed face.

They were indeed married. By that logic, sharing a bed wasn't inappropriate.

"Mr. Morgan, the owner of Raven Corporation in Stenburg found out you were in the area and has been persistently asking for your whereabouts. He wants to either visit you or invite you to tour the headquarters. I've turned him down twice, but he's still asking. Would you consider meeting him if you have time?"

Cole's tone was filled with unease. After all, interrupting his boss' honeymoon with work-related matters felt like a crime.
