too late for a second chance novel (Lila and Dorian) novel Chapter 447

Lila was startled, and before she could explain, Amelia quickly stepped forward. "Are you seeing Uncle Kieran?"

On the day she visited the Morgan residence for the memorial, Amelia had stood outside for a long while. The sight of her slender, solitary figure, enveloped in sadness, made everyone who passed by instinctively tread lightly, afraid to disturb her.

It was heartbreaking. At that moment, Amelia had thought to herself, "If staying away from the Morgan residence would bring Lila happiness, then perhaps that's what she should do."

After all, no matter how good Kieran was, if they weren't right for each other, it was better not to force it.

Now, seeing how much better Lila looked, Amelia's heart still ached for her. She opened her arms, and Lila stepped forward to accept her embrace.

"Thank you, Ame," she said softly. If it hadn't been for her company during the tough times, she didn't know how she would have gotten through it.

Amelia responded gently, "Sometimes, if you stay stuck in one place, it's hard to find happiness. But if you're brave enough to move forward, you might just find it, you know?"

The girls shared a chuckle before dropping the subject. Amelia helped with the packing, picking up Nova from Lila's feet and placing her in a box. Then, she gently patted the cat's furry head. "I've almost gotten attached to you. I'll come visit often."

Dressed in a thick coat, she escorted Lila downstairs. When Kieran saw them, he got out of the car, took the things from Amelia, and placed them in the back seat. Amelia looked at him with a slight smile but didn't say a word. The man nodded at her in acknowledgement.

Lila chuckled. "Kieran, we're still just dating. How can you sleep here?" Even though she said that, she turned onto her side, resting her arm across his muscular waist, holding him close.

The man gently returned the embrace, resisting the urge to pull her completely into his embrace, and held her tenderly. Lila nestled in his arms for a while, then propped herself up on his abs, lifting her upper body slightly. In the dark, their eyes met.

She then lowered her head and placed a soft kiss near his lips. "Good night, Kieran." After saying that, she lay back down and slowly drifted off to sleep, completely unaware of the way Kieran's eyes widened slightly and his whole body burned with desire.

When her breathing slowed, he let out a sigh, his feelings a mix of helplessness and longing. He got up and went to take a cold shower.
