Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 58

He didn't look away until her slender, graceful silhouette had completely vanished from sight.

Noticing his distraction, Isabella called out again, "Brother?"

Linton looked at her coolly. "What is it?"

Isabella flinched, then bit her lip, forcing a smile. "It's nothing. I was just hoping you could help me hire a jewelry designer."

"Who?"

"Aiden Grant."

Isabella's smile was radiant. "He's an internationally renowned genius in jewelry design, a living legend."

"I heard he recently returned to the country, so I was hoping you could ask him for me. I'm confident that with him on board, the company will have a very successful start."

Aiden was a mythical figure in the industry. Any piece of jewelry he designed became an instant global bestseller.

Linton's gaze darkened slightly as he considered it. After a long silence, he finally said in a cold voice, "I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you, brother!"

Isabella's smile grew even brighter. "I know that if you're the one asking, you'll be able to get him for me!"

She spoke with absolute confidence.

The Cooper Group had the power and prestige to attract anyone. There was no reason for Aiden to refuse an offer from Linton.

She was brimming with self-assurance. Thinking of Liliana's own plans to start a jewelry company, a smug, triumphant smile touched her lips.

Just you wait.

A vicious glint flashed in Isabella's eyes.

Once she had Aiden in her camp, she swore she would crush Liliana right from the start, humiliating her so thoroughly that she would never be able to hold her head up in their circle again. She would be forever beneath Isabella's heel.

After leaving the Kingsley manor, Liliana sat in her sports car and immediately called Mrs. Hart.

"Mom, I'm going to break off the engagement."

Mrs. Hart was still optimistic at this point, not yet realizing the severity of the situation.

Liliana gave a slight, humorless smile. She wasn't surprised.

Her image as a love-struck fool was so deeply ingrained in everyone's mind that it was only natural for her mother to be hesitant.

In the end, it was her own fault for devaluing herself. She had ruined her own reputation for a man, to the point where no one believed her.

Liliana didn't blame anyone else. She simply reiterated, her voice firm and serious, "Mom, I've thought it all through. This time, I'm serious. And I will not regret it."

Mrs. Hart was silent for a moment, finally realizing that something was truly wrong.

But she was a mother.

And she would always stand by her daughter, no matter what.

Her voice softened with comfort. "Alright, I understand."

"I'll go speak to old Mr. Cooper for you and get him to agree to call off the engagement."
