Too Late She Already Married Mr. Right (Sophia) novel Chapter 241

"Mr. Sterli—" she began, her voice trembling.

But before she could finish, Richard brushed past her and walked straight over to Sophia.

The first thing he noticed was the man's suit jacket hanging on her shoulders, and he frowned slightly.

Then he saw the sharp-looking guy standing next to Sophia, dressed in a white shirt and gray slacks.

The jacket on Sophia's shoulders perfectly matched his pants—a clear sign it was his.

Micah wasn't about to let a chance like this pass him by. He stepped forward, extending his hand politely. He said, "Mr. Sterling, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Micah, CEO of the Nelson Group. I've heard so much about you."

Richard shook his hand, then threw a sidelong glance at Sophia. He asked, "Are you cold?"

Sophia caught his eyes sweeping over the jacket on her shoulders more than once, picking up on the faint displeasure in his expression.

She hurried to answer, "I'm fine, not cold at all.”

“Then return the jacket to Mr. Nelson. It’s really inappropriate for him to be at a formal event in just a shirt,’ Richard said in a cool, flat voice.

Sophia glanced around at the other men—except for Micah, no one else was dressed in just a shirt.

She thought, ‘It really is inappropriate.

She quickly took off the jacket and handed it back to Micah with both hands. She said, "Mr. Nelson, go ahead and put it on."

Micah couldn't shake the nagging feeling that Richard's possessiveness toward Sophia was a bit out of the ordinary—it definitely caught his attention.

He accepted the jacket with a friendly smile and said, "It's alright. If you start feeling chilly, | can always ask a waiter to bring you a shawl."

But before Micah could finish his words, Richard had already shrugged off his own suit jacket and swiftly draped it over Sophia's shoulders, leaving her momentarily stunned.

The crowd was left speechless.

Annabelle couldn't help but mentally give Richard a thumbs-up. She thought, ‘He called Micah out for breaking dress code, but then turned right around and broke it himself—totally confident and making himself the exception without a second thought.

Sophia gave him a playful grin and said, "Relax, | know my limits. I'm not about to run myself ragged.”

Richard gave a quiet hum.

They kept chatting quietly between themselves, the rest of the crowd fading into the background as if no one else mattered.

Just then, someone came over to greet Richard. Meanwhile, Lucas made his entrance at the party hall, strutting in with unmistakable confidence and all eyes turning his way.

As soon as he walked in, dozens of eyes instantly turned toward Sophia.

Some of the glances were friendly, others full of spite, and plenty more just plain nosy, hoping to catch some drama.

Not one to shy away from stirring the pot, someone even raised their voice and yelled, "Mr. Westwood, why did you and Mrs. Westwood come separately? You guys totally look like you're just putting ona show.

"The news says you're splitting up—is it true, or what?"
