Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 137

On Saturday morning, when Mira went to her martial arts class, Master Ellis asked her, “Is your company hiring on a large scale? I saw many of the positions aren’t related to entertainment.”

Mira hadn't expected Kieran to work so fast. He had already posted the job listings on the company's official website that morning.

Solflare Entertainment was already under intense scrutiny; this was bound to cause another stir.

But it didn't matter. Mira hadn't revealed her plans for the bike-sharing project to anyone yet.

“We’re preparing for the next project.”

Besides her own team, Master Ellis was the only person who knew Mira was the boss of Solflare Entertainment.

“A new project, huh? Could you let Owen help you?”

Master Ellis didn’t want to hold his disciple back any longer. With Owen’s talent, he belonged in a much wider world.

“Of course. The security department will be his to manage from now on. Other senior students are welcome to join too.”

Owen was speechless. *Am I only good enough to be a fighter?*

Master Ellis glanced at his exasperated disciple and chuckled.

“See? This is what you get for running away.”

“What’s Owen running away from?”

Mira’s mind raced, drawing from her experiences in two lifetimes.

“A family vendetta or someone seeking revenge?”

That would explain why he was hiding out with Master Ellis for protection.

“Have you been reading too many novels?”

Owen shot Mira a look.

Master Ellis smiled, waiting to see what else she would come up with.

Mira’s eyes darted around. “Then it must be unresolved romantic entanglements?”

“Hahaha…”

Master Ellis burst into a rare, hearty laugh.

Owen’s finely chiseled face was a mask of gloom.

To make matters worse, his master twisted the knife. “Could your junior sister be right? Is it really an unresolved romance?”

He gave his master a weary look. “Do I really seem like that much of a player?”
