"Ma'am, the private rooms are assigned in order, and it's not quite time for your reservation yet. Please sit down and have a cup of coffee. It will be ready in just a moment."
"Who wants your garbage coffee? Since you didn't have it cleaned in advance, I don't want this room anymore. I want a refund. And for wasting my time, I demand ten times the amount in compensation."
"We can process your refund, but we haven't broken any rules. There is no policy for paying ten times the amount in compensation."
The waiter wasn't backing down.
By this time, many diners had gathered to watch the commotion, and Mira's group followed suit.
Why did the woman leading the charge look so familiar? Mira couldn't place her immediately.
Oh, right. The photos Lenny sent last night. Wasn't this Lydia Fontaine?
"Look at your attitude! Is this how you treat customers?"
"You think just because business is booming, you can treat your customers like trash?"
Lydia's two friends chimed in to back her up.
"We serve actual customers with the utmost care, but are you really customers? It's obvious you're just here to cause trouble."
The waiter had a sharp tongue.
Smack! Lydia reached out and slapped the waiter across the face.
The young girl held her cheek, glaring furiously at Lydia, ready to strike back.
Mira stepped in, catching the waiter and whispering in her ear, "Play the victim."
If she fought back in front of the crowd, it would just turn into a brawl. Not only would it ruin the restaurant's reputation, but the police would have a harder time dealing with Lydia, and getting compensation would be difficult.
Thinking the staff was intimidated, Lydia grew even more arrogant.
"Refusing to pay up, huh?"
Lydia grabbed a plate off the table and smashed it onto the floor.
The waiter, who had just been slapped, stepped forward to stop her, but Lydia shoved her hard. She fell to the ground and stayed down.
Mira approached, pretending to check on the waiter, and whispered, "When you get to the hospital, say you have a severe headache. Drag this out as long as you can, and we'll sue her for everything."
"This looks serious! Someone call 911!"
