Mira's eyes widened. She stared at him, looking as though she had a million questions.
Even though she had suspected it, having it confirmed was still quite a shock.
"When you didn't want to come to Aethelgard before, what were you afraid of?"
"It wasn't that I was afraid of anything. I just didn't want to see certain unpleasant people and wanted to avoid unnecessary trouble."
Mira blinked, wanting to press further, but worried she might annoy him. She decided to let it drop.
Owen wasn't exactly the easiest person to get along with, anyway.
Mira turned and walked out the door, immediately dialing Felix.
"Mr. Grant, there's no need to investigate. Owen is..."
She spoke as she walked, reaching into her pocket for her key card, only to realize Owen was following her.
"What are you investigating?"
"Nothing. Just looking into who was behind the sabotage of the EcoRide project."
Mira quickly hung up the phone, unsure if he bought her excuse.
"Let me borrow Master Ellis's authorization token."
"Sure."
Mira pulled it out of her bag and handed it to him, eager to send him on his way before he asked any more questions.
Master Ellis had mentioned that Owen was allowed to use it.
After he left, Mira called Mr. Lawson. With the concert approaching, she needed his men to monitor the situation from all angles.
The main goal was to prevent any large-scale sabotage. As for which concert the audience chose to buy tickets for, that was up to fate.
Solflare Entertainment had invested a massive amount of money into this event.
When Mira arrived at the venue for rehearsal the next day, she saw Robert grinning from ear to ear. She instantly knew things were looking up.
Sure enough, a second later, he announced, "Boss, eighty percent of our tickets are already sold.
Meanwhile, Yield Crest Media hasn't even sold half of theirs. Rumor has it they've already started slashing prices."
The boss was a lucky charm. The moment she arrived, the tide turned. Previously, Yield Crest Media's tickets had been in much higher demand.
For one, Yield Crest was a major powerhouse in Aethelgard. Solflare Entertainment was doing well, but it was still a company that had been around for less than a year.
