Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 33

“Hurry and eat. Is there anything else you’d like? I can make it for you.”

“Thank you, Ms. Sue, but this soup is enough. I already ate outside.”

The warm, fragrant chicken soup was incredibly comforting. The only place that felt like home was wherever Ms. Sue was.

Ms. Sue watched with a smile. Seeing Mira eat so heartily made her happy.

“Miss, if you’re short on money, I have some savings.”

She knew about Mira’s situation—her allowance had been cut off for over a month.

“Thank you, Ms. Sue, but don’t worry, I’m earning my own money now.”

“Working outside… don’t wear yourself out.”

Ms. Sue’s eyes were filled with concern.

She sighed. The young girl who once never had to lift a finger was now forced to work part-time to support herself.

Another maid, Tessa, saw this and thought dismissively, “Hmph, what’s the use of sucking up to a disfavored young lady?”

She decided to go get some rest, not wanting to waste her time here.

Mira finished her soup and went upstairs. She had to seize the time to make more money.

She turned on her computer and started trading.

The great thing about trading Bitcoin was that as long as you avoided the weekly settlement and delivery times, you could trade anytime.

It was a 24-hour, non-stop market, and the age requirements were low. Mira, not yet 18, could trade without any restrictions.

If it were stocks, that probably wouldn’t be possible.

Moreover, it was highly anonymous. Neither the sender nor the receiver needed to verify their identity or provide any other personal information.

But it seemed her luck was off tonight. She misjudged her first trade and lost two hundred thousand dollars.

She realized she had to be more careful. Identifying the high and low points of each fluctuation was crucial; otherwise, the few million she had wouldn't be enough to cover her losses.

She carefully looked for an opportunity and finally won a round back, earning three hundred thousand dollars.
