Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 442

After lunch, Mira noticed the administration hanging celebratory banners at the front gates of Melvion Central High School. She instantly knew she had made the top three. Securing a national rank was a massive achievement, one the school would milk for prestige for a long time.

"You aced it again, Mira," Liora Bennett said, grinning.

"I wonder what rank she got?" Celine Ward added. "Let's go check it out."

As the girls approached the gates, they ran right into reporters Lauren and Declan. After multiple interviews, they were practically old friends. Lauren immediately zeroed in on Mira.

"Can't you two cut me some slack and schedule an appointment first?" Mira joked.

"Have a heart, Mira," Declan pleaded. "We need to get this scoop before the mob arrives."

This wasn't just another local victory. Mira had secured the number one overall score nationally, along with two first-place finishes in individual subjects. Reporters from all over Mavaria were already rushing to the campus.

Mira answered their questions with practiced ease. Internally, she wasn't entirely satisfied with her results. Given that she had lived two lives, she felt she should have swept all the individual subjects. But the world was full of savants. If Mr. Harth hadn't drilled her relentlessly in language arts, she would never have maintained her top rank in that category.

Her true, unshakeable dominance wasn't in math or English—it was in physics. Mira had a natural, almost instinctual affinity for it. The concepts were baked into her bones. She didn't even have to think when solving the equations; her intuition was flawless. But for the other subjects, she still had to grind. Being the absolute best wasn't a walk in the park.

Taking advantage of the media spotlight, Mira casually pivoted the conversation to her internet finance ventures, seamlessly dropping an advertisement for her business.

"At least a month?" Lauren asked. "So nothing in the near future?"

"Exactly," Mira said, adopting a professional tone. "Managing a fund isn't simple. For every portfolio, my team and I conduct rigorous research, analyze market data, and map out a precise strategy."

"We start with macroeconomic analysis and industry trends to determine our asset allocation across stocks, bonds, and cash reserves.

"Only after a strategy is rock solid do we execute trades on the platform."
