Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 467

"I can give you anything, Mom, but when it comes to shares, I can only give you three percent."

Adrian and Mara stared at Lacey in disbelief.

"I have six children, and I own twenty percent of the shares. Giving each of you three percent accounts for eighteen percent. The remaining two percent is my retirement fund. When my time comes, whoever treats me best gets the rest."

The father and daughter's eyes went wide. Was this still the clueless Lacey they knew?

"Those five ungrateful brats don't even care about you anymore, and you still want to give them shares?" Adrian demanded.

"Even if they don't care about me, I can't abandon them. I gave birth to them. If they made mistakes, it's my fault for not raising them right. If Mara wants hers now, I can transfer her three percent. But as for the rest, don't even think about it."

Lacey suddenly felt a sense of unease.

Adrian and Mara exchanged frustrated glances.

How did this old crone suddenly grow a spine? It looked like they would have to put in more effort.

"Mom, three percent is plenty. You should save the rest for my brothers and sister." Mara knew she needed to get this three percent secured first.

"Mara is always so understanding," Adrian praised.

The Mercer Group's shares were divided with the Mercer family holding sixty percent. Adrian held forty, and Lacey held twenty. The rest was distributed among other shareholders.

Meanwhile, Ethan was at Mira's place discussing their assets.

"Great work, everyone. Next time Owen and I are in Aethelgard, I'll hand out bonuses. Keep polishing it for now. I've got another great concept for a game, and we'll discuss it next time."

"Long live the Boss!"

The game had previously been advertised on the bike-sharing app, so a solid player base had already formed. Now, they had developed a dedicated standalone app for it, heavily pushing farming simulation ads across multiple platforms. With Solflare Entertainment's backing, the game quickly gained traction.

What exactly was Harvest Haven?

The novelty immediately drew people in. A lush green interface popped up, featuring blue skies, white clouds, and a patch of uncultivated land. There was a small cottage to the side, along with prompts to weed and plow.

Through the tutorial, it quickly became clear: this was a farming simulation.
