Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 625

"This audio perfectly matches the video. Is this actually real?"

"Maybe Serena was the only one lying, and Vanessa and Jillian genuinely didn't know? Could it be a misunderstanding?"

"No way. I know Vanessa. She never sticks her neck out unless she knows exactly what's going on."

This time, seeds of doubt began to sprout across the forum, but the overarching narrative still hadn't completely shifted.

Without missing a beat, Mira uploaded a second video—the footage from the very first day of Orientation, showing Instructor Vance harshly disciplining Vanessa and Jillian.

Anyone smart enough to get accepted into Aethelgard University had a decent IQ. It only took a little critical thinking for everyone to connect the dots and realize exactly why the setup had happened.

Just then, Harvey sent her a direct message: "Were you the one who posted the video and audio?"

Mira replied instantly: "Keep your mouth shut."

"Of course. But for the record, I caught it on camera too."

A few minutes later, another video of the exact same incident appeared on the forum, shot from a completely different angle and accompanied by its own audio track.

Soon after, a professor from the media department weighed in: "I have analyzed these video and audio files. There are no signs of tampering or digital synthesis."

Meanwhile, over in the instructors' barracks.

"York, get over here! Someone else just backed up your story.

Look, it's surveillance footage from a totally different angle.

Aethelgard is wild. Who just walks around campus wearing hidden cameras and recording devices?"

Callum Young, his close friend and fellow instructor, shouted in disbelief.

"It looks like there are still some kids here with a spine. The elite brats haven't completely corrupted this place.

Looks like you won't need to call in the military investigators after all, York."

But regardless of who the ultimate puppet master was, Mira's goal had been accomplished.

York's name had been completely cleared, and Serena's malicious setup was exposed as an undeniable fact.

By the end of the day, Serena received a severe official warning on her academic record and was forced to deliver a humiliating public apology to Instructor Vance.

Leah asked Mira, "Why would a girl like Serena, who comes from an average family and fought so hard to get into Aethelgard, risk everything on a stunt like this?

Now she's ruined. A permanent mark on her academic record is going to tank her job prospects. Her reputation is trashed for the next four years. Who's going to want anything to do with her?"

Elara wholeheartedly agreed.

"Vanessa definitely offered her an irresistible incentive. Like a massive payout," Mira stated flatly.

Mira looked at her two friends. "If someone offered you fifty thousand dollars to do the exact same thing, would you take it?"
