"Damn it, that student is so detestable, but the worst is Mira Mercer. If she hadn't publicized the bail certificate, those students wouldn't have known."
"Why doesn't she just die?"
"Early in the year, she ruined our plan to acquire the bike company. Later, because of her, our entertainment company's concert lost its shine."
"I heard she's tangled up with that bastard eldest son of yours, and now she's ruining Luna. She's a menace."
"Didn't Lawrence say he was going to get rid of her? Why is she still jumping around?"
Her daughter was the eldest lady of Aethelgard's top wealthy family, holding an incredibly prestigious status. How could she be bullied by wild cats?
"Easy for you to say," Richard Lance retorted. "Do you think she's as clueless as your daughter?"
"You know what happened on the plane. We spent so much money and manpower setting up that trap, and what happened?"
"That bastard and she are both fine, but we lost hundreds of millions. Not only did we lose several top agents, but we almost got our own people trapped."
"When Mira shorted Porter Entertainment, Lawrence got involved and lost ten billion."
"Do you think I dare touch that girl easily?"
"So according to you, we just keep her around to continue ruining us?"
Lady Lilian Lance was furious. Her slender brows furrowed, and her carefully styled updo trembled.
"Of course not. Isn't Lawrence trying to figure something out?"
"But dealing with someone like her, we absolutely cannot act rashly."
"We must make solid arrangements. We don't strike unless we're sure, but when we do, we have to make sure she never recovers."
"Does that mean I can only stay home from now on and not go to school?"
Luna Lance panicked.
Richard called Old Leonard. After explaining the situation, he was met with the old man's furious cursing.
"Idiots! Who told you to bail her out? It was only a month or so of detention, and she had already served half of it. Was bail really necessary?"
"You wasted money, effort, and favors."
"And getting her out on a psychiatric disability claim? Do you want her to live under the shadow of a psych patient label for the rest of her life?"
"But... but if we didn't get her out, she was making a fuss in the station every day, and her mother was crying every day..."
"Let her fuss! The police would have disciplined her. If she cried too much, just ignore her. You constantly indulge them, of course they make a fuss!"
"At this rate, the entire Lance family will be ruined by your two women."
"Don't bother me with this anymore. She better stay obediently at home until her term is up, then present a new medical report to re-enroll."
"How could Grandpa do this? Luna is his only granddaughter. Can he bear to see her bullied?"
