Dominic had mentioned to me before that he was based in Aethelgard.”
“Oh my word, the man taught you so much, and you still didn't even know his real identity?
What happened next? Did Owen find him for you?”
“Not exactly.
Owen took one look at the phone number and asked me, 'How do you have Dominic West's number?'
I immediately asked him, 'Who is Dominic West? You know him?'
I distinctly remember Owen giving me the most speechless look.”
“What kind of god-tier networking luck is this? I'm so jealous.”
Clara sighed again in awe.
“Exactly! Stumbling into a titan of industry without even knowing it? Ugh!”
“And then? Did Owen tell you who he really was?”
“No, Owen just said, 'He's a good friend of mine. As for what he does, it's not convenient to say right now.'
At the time, I just felt the name sounded faintly familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint why.
But the more Owen kept it a secret, the more curious I became. Why couldn't he tell me?
Eventually, I came to Aethelgard and finally met Dominic in person at Owen's villa, but they still refused to tell me what his actual job was.
I just figured that someone with such elite tech skills must have an insane career. I assumed he was a senior executive at some massive tech firm.
It wasn't until I moved to the city for college. Owen and Dominic came to pick me up at the station, and my classmate Harvey Rivers, who was traveling with me, took one look and blurted out, 'That's Dominic West!'
After asking Harvey, I finally learned his true identity.”
Both hosts stared with wide eyes, completely engrossed in the story.
“We heard that your computer skills are phenomenal. Did you learn everything from Mr. West?”
“Yes, I learned it all from him.”
“But your major in college is computer science. Is there really anything left for you to learn?”
