After getting Rachel settled, Kieran prepared to leave.

“Sit down, Kieran. Have a cup of tea before you go.”

“You should hire a driver. Otherwise, you’re working too hard, and it’s not like we can’t afford one.”

As their business grew, Kieran would only get busier. If they had a driver, she wouldn’t have needed to bother him with today’s errand. Making a general manager run around like this was a waste of his talents.

“Alright,” he agreed without hesitation.

“Take this severance agreement with you. Tomorrow, have our lawyer check if it’s been officially filed online. If they haven’t filed it, we’ll do it ourselves.”

Kieran nodded. It felt as though he was dealing not with a high school girl, but with a seasoned veteran of the corporate world. Mira’s sharpness and shrewdness impressed even him, a man approaching forty.

Since the family ties were gone, it was best to make a clean break. With this young boss’s abilities, she would be much better off without that family.

“Also, it’s time to hire a vice president. And an assistant, a secretary, whatever you need. Hire who you need to, don’t overwork yourself.”

“Let’s take it one step at a time. We’ll hire as needed. There’s no reason to hire so many people at once; the overhead would be too high.” Starting a business was tough, and Kieran knew to save money wherever possible.

“I’ll leave it to your judgment, Kieran.” Mira trusted his character completely.

After Kieran left, Mira rested. Between her training, her vocal practice, and the fight with her family that evening, even someone made of steel would be exhausted..
