"What do you think, Ms. Mercer?" Director Carter asked, seeking Mira's input.

"Nonsense! They're all lying! Don't listen to them!" the two women shrieked in desperation, but Director Carter simply nodded to the police officers.

At that moment, Mira detached the covert recorder from her Digital Brooch Wire, isolating the specific audio clip: *Mira Mercer, your days of arrogance are numbered. Just you wait and see.* She handed it over to the police.

"My recorder is quite small, so it only caught this one sentence. My apologies."
