"For elite marriages, the ceremony matters more than the actual certificate. They can file the paperwork when she's old enough. The real mystery is why Sebastian agreed to it."

Aethelgard's four major families were deeply intertwined, and many of the Lance Group's massive projects relied on Quinn family partnerships.

Owen nodded, adding another reason. "They're also terrified that if Leonard dies, no one will be able to keep me in check. Lawrence would lose his standing in the company, and the Quinn family would dump him."
