Ever since Sienna Stanford and her group visited the campus, Liora Bennett and Reece had hit it off.
They were officially dating now.
"Liora is joining our meeting? Great, I'll try to wrap things up quickly."
With that, Mira turned to leave.
That was the best thing about Liora—she was easygoing. If it were Celine Ward, she wouldn't have shown up, worried people would think she was crashing the party.
"Wait, when are the transit passes getting here?" Reece called after her.
"What's the rush? The meeting hasn't even started yet, and you're not playing games right away."
"Just make sure you don't forget, Mira. I already told everyone there'd be prizes. If I come up empty-handed, I'll look like a total idiot." Reece still seemed uneasy.
"Hey, you looking like an idiot is your problem, not mine," Mira teased.
"Mira, hold on. Just come to the meeting with me right now." Reece panicked, reaching out to stop her.
Mira quickened her pace and disappeared from sight, leaving Reece standing there in a daze.
Wait, what did she mean by that? Was she seriously going to bail on the prizes?
Mira rushed to her meeting spot with Quentin Reed. Quentin, however, was perfectly relaxed. "What's the fire?" he drawled the moment he saw her. "It's still early. Half the faculty probably isn't even here yet."
Quentin was dragging his feet, casually mentioning he wanted to swing by the club room to grab something.
"Move it. Reece is already hounding me about the class meeting."
"It's totally normal for a few people to miss a class meeting. You don't have to go," Quentin said carelessly.
"My friend Liora is on her way. She's joining us for it."
"Then you can hang out with her after the meeting," Quentin replied, still slacking.
