Chapter 111 The Bitter Medicine

At that moment, Andrew, in his wheelchair, spoke in a low voice. His eyes, filled with killing intent, fixed on Walter. “Give me the prescription!”

Walter, who’d just been startled by Margaret, jumped again at Andrew’s voice!

He hurried to hand the note over. “Andrew, here… here you go…”

Andrew took the note and read it carefully. Then, as if disgusted that Walter had touched it, he wiped it with a tissue.

Walter fell silent. He felt openly despised.

Andrew passed the note to Darryl, who was wearing gloves. He ordered coldly, “Frame it. Decorate it nicely.”

Walter was rendered speechless.

Two days earlier, he’d noticed another famous painting on the living room wall had been thrown away.

In its place hung a small note adorned with jewels and diamonds, framed like a priceless work of art.

The words on the note read, “Andrew, be good while I’m gone.”

“Yes, Mr. Mohler,” Darryl replied solemnly.

He took the note, glanced at the prescription to memorize it, then dared not look at it again.

The Mohler family’s wealth was immeasurable. Because of Andrew’s condition, the manor even had a pharmacy stocked with all kinds of rare medicinal herbs from around the world.

Half an hour later, the medicine from Margaret’s prescription was ready.

A servant placed the bowl on the table, her body trembling uncontrollably, radiating fear. “Mr. Mohler, the medicine is ready.”

Andrew glanced at the bowl of pitch-black herbal decoction. Just the smell made his stomach churn. He frowned tightly. “Pour it out.”

He hated herbal decoction.

“Yes, Mr. Mohler,” the servant replied.

She reached for the bowl, still trembling.

Walter watched from the side, sighing. He’d known this would happen.

Andrew hated taking herbal decoction with a passion.

Over the years, he’d refused every single dose of herbal decoction prepared for him. No one could make

him take it.

That’s why, all these years, they’d wracked their brains trying to get him to take his medicine.

Margaret had just gone upstairs to take a shower. She’d changed into a long black nightgown and was walking down the stairs when she heard Andrew tell the servant to pour out the medicine.

She immediately stopped them with a cold voice. “Don’t you dare pour it out!”

Her tone was cold and domineering-like a queen’s order, non-negotiable!

She walked over, fixing her gaze on Andrew, her eyes authoritative. “Andrew, why are you pouring out the medicine?”

“It’s bitter. Disgusting,” he replied.

When he saw Margaret, Walter’s eyes lit up-as if he’d found a savior.

Ms. Tucker will surely have a way to make Andrew take the medicine, right?

He was curious about what method she would use.

Margaret walked over with a cold face, her emotions unreadable. She asked, “It’s that bitter?”

Andrew frowned, his disgust unhidden. “Yes.”

Margaret said nothing. She picked up the bowl of pitch-black medicine and brought it to her lips.

She took a sip. “Bitter?”

Then she drained the rest in one gulp.

She gave him a challenging glare. “Andrew, you’re not gonna let a girl outdo you, are you?”

Andrew’s face darkened.

He scoffed. As a man, his pride wouldn’t let him be mocked like this. “Of course not.”

With that, Andrew took the bowl from her hand. He frowned, forcing down his disgust, and drank all the medicine in one go.

She stood there in her black nightgown, her expression cold as she stared straight at him. “Andrew, you’re so good,” she said.

Andrew fell silent. Why do I feel like she is soothing a child?

Walter watched, dumbfounded.

Ms. Tucker is amazing!

Or rather, totally badass!

A

A simple reverse psychology trick, and Andrew took the medicine on his own.

Why haven’t I thought of that before?

Well, even if I have, I’d never dare provoke Andrew like that…

Chapter 111 The Bitter Medicine

After Andrew took the medicine, Margaret took him upstairs to rest.

In the hallway, Darryl pushed Andrew’s wheelchair to the door.

Margaret, walking ahead, stopped and turned to him. “Darryl, you can go rest now.”

Darryl hesitated. “Ms. Tucker, I need to help Mr. Mohler bathe later.”

Margaret cut him off directly. “No need. I’ll bathe him myself later.”

The always calm and steady Darryl was stunned.

Andrew, in his wheelchair, turned impatient. He said coldly, “Darryl, are you still here? Do you want me to see you out?”

“No, Mr. Mohler,” Darryl replied.

He snapped out of his daze and turned to leave without hesitation.

Margaret opened the heavy door, pushing Andrew’s wheelchair inside the room with her.

It was the same dark-style bedroom.

Once inside, Margaret turned to Andrew. “Andrew, do you need to take a bath tonight?”

Andrew fixed her with a strange look, his eyes dark and menacing. “Maggie… you gonna bathe me yourself?”
