Margaret Tucker AKA Lord Reaper

Chapter 49 The Black Dragon Gang

Margaret snapped back to reality. “Whatever,” she shrugged and said.

“Got it, Boss!” Rickie replied.

He then asked, “Boss, that two million you won-you want cash or a bank transfer?”

The losers winced when the money got brought up, but nobody tried to weasel out. A bet’s a bet, after all.

These guys were troublemakers, but they stuck to their word.

“Transfer,” Margaret said, casual like two million was pocket change to her.

At noon, Margaret’s phone rang. It was Matthew.

She’d barely hit “answer” when Matthew started yelling. Margaret! What the freak were you thinking? You sent Raymond to the hospital! He’s your blood brother!

Margaret listened for two seconds, then hung up without a word.

That cold brush-off made Matthew blow a fuse on the other end.

A minute later, her phone rang again. This time, it was her oldest brother, Edward.

Margaret picked up. “Edward, you here to chew me out oo?”

Edward’s sharp voice came through. “No. I just wanted to ask if you’re hurt.”

Margaret looked surprised. “You’re not mad I hurt Raymond?”

“That dude had it coming,” Edward said. “But Margaret, if you wanna teach him a lesson later, just tell me. No need to get your hands dirty.”

Margaret shook her head. “It’s fine. I like doing it myself Kinda satisfying, honestly.”

Edward didn’t press it. He just grunted, “Got it.

“If anything goes down at school, call me. Anyone who messes with you, their whole family pays.

Period.” His voice turned icy, sharp enough to cut.

Margaret laughed, her clear voice brimming with confidence. “Edward, don’t sweat it. From now on, I’m the one doing the messing. Nobody’s touching me.”

Edward paused for a second. Then he said, “Margaret, I meant what I said. If you ever need to kill someone, I’ll hand you the sharpest knife around.”

He’d failed her so bad in the past. Now she seemed like whole different person, but she was still his little sister. Still someone he’d protect with his life.

Before Margaret knew it, school was out.

A light rain was falling, turning the sky gray and murky. The air felt thick and stuffy.

Margaret grabbed a black umbrella from her bag and strolled out of the classroom. She popped it open and

headed for the school gate.

After a few steps, she noticed something. Thirty-odd guys from her class were trailing behind her, like a bunch of loyal goons.

Students pouring out of other classrooms scrambled out of their way. When they saw Margaret leading the pack like a boss, their eyes went wide.

She’s stunning!

With that black umbrella and her cold look, she seems sharp and fierce. Total badass.

Margaret stopped. She didn’t care about being the center of attention. She turned to the guys behind her, eyebrows raised.

“Why are you guys following me?”

Rickie stepped up-she recognized him. “Boss, you’re meeting Ruby at that abandoned factory, right?”

“Yeah, so?” Margaret said, expressionless.

Her

gaze was calm, but it made Rickie feel like he was staring down a hungry wolf. He swallowed hard and worked up the nerve.

“Boss, we wanna come with you. You’re our leader now. We’ve got your back, no matter what.”

Margaret raised an eyebrow, surprised.

These guys had a reputation as the worst students-flunking classes, acting all tough. Other kids ran when they saw them.

Turns out these brats had a sense of loyalty.

But she shook her head. “No need.”

Rickie panicked. He thought Margaret was underestimating how dangerous this was.

“Boss, I know you’re strong. But Ruby’s family’s no joke. Her uncle runs a branch of Capaville’s biggest

gang.”

That got Margaret’s interest. “Oh? Which one’s the biggest in Capaville now?”

The old Margaret had been a regular student, so she’d never touched this world.

And Margaret, as leader of the Hall of Reaper, had been the true overlord of the underground world. Naturally, she’d never bothered with these gang factions from various countries.

They were nothing next to global underground organizations.

Rickie answered, “The most powerful gang around here is the Black Dragon Gang.”

Margaret burst out laughing when she heard the name. “Black Dragon Gang? That’s so cringy and edgy. For real?”
