Chapter 59 The Uninvited Guests.
Edward stared straight at him, his gaze so intense it felt oppressive. “You really think Maggie did that thing back then? Are you that dumb?”
“What are you getting at?” Raymond looked totally confused. “You mean Margaret didn’t do it?”
If anyone else had said this, he would’ve brushed it off. But this was Edward-he never wasted words on garbage.
Instead of giving a straight answer, Edward’s voice turned cold. “Go check it yourself. If you can’t even figure out something this trivial, you’re not fit to be my brother, let alone Maggie’s.”
Raymond’s eyes turned serious. Have I really gotten it wrong back then?
Edward added a warning. “From now on, if you ever pick on Maggie again, you’ll face the family’s punishment.”
Upon hearing it,
ymond suddenly felt a burning ache across his back.
“Edward, I didn’t pick on her at all!” He protested, sounding wronged. “She’s the one who picked on me! You have no idea-she broke
two of my bones today. They’re still throbbing!”
“Serves you right,
Edward said, not an ounce of sympathy in his voice. “From now on, if Maggie needs to hit you to let off steam, you stand there and take it. No fighting back.”
Raymond was speechless. This is way too biased!
When Margaret walked into Tucker Villa, the family was having dinner. They chatted and laughed, the atmosphere seeming warm and cozy.
Even though she’d come back way past her school time, Matthew hadn’t called once to check on her. Clearly, he didn’t care if she was dead or alive.
“Where have you been?” Matthew finally seemed to remember he had a daughter when he saw her. “It’s way past your school time.”
Margaret sat down at the table slowly, her tone cocky. “I was in a fight.”
“A fight? What went down?”
“None of your business.”
Margaret loaded up a plate with food and started eating seriously.
Clara, sitting beside her, frowned slightly when she saw Margaret was unharmed. Disappointment flickered in her heart-she’d thought Margaret would come back with broken legs or feet.
“Margaret, are you okay?” Clara asked, putting on a wored face. “I heard you messed with the Black Dragon Gang. Did they hurt you?”
On the surface, she was fretting over Margaret. But deep down, she was telling Matthew that Margaret had crossed the Black Dragon Gang.
Sure enough, Matthew’s face darkened right away. He glared at Margaret. “Margaret! What’s wrong with you? How dare you mess with the Black Dragon Gang?”

He went on to chew her out. “Don’t you know they’re the biggest gang in Capaville? It’s fine if you get yourself into trouble, but what if you drag the whole Tucker family down with you?”
Margaret was getting annoyed by his nagging. She gave Matthew a cold, blank look. “Shut up. You’re ruining my meal.”
Matthew froze. She’s getting more and more arrogant!
He was about to say more when a maid walked into the living room. “Sir, there are two men in black outside. They say they’re from the Black Dragon Gang and want to see Ms. Tucker.”
“Dad, what do we do?” Clara said, looking panicky on the outside-but she was thrilled inside.
They come in person. Margaret is toast now.
Matthew didn’t dare to drag his feet when he heard it was the Black Dragon Gang. He stood up in a hurry. “Hurry and let them in.”
Then he turned to Margaret, who was still eating like nothing was going on. Rage bubbled up in his chest.
“Margaret! Look at the mess you’ve made! How dare you provoke the Black Dragon Gang? Do you want to die? If you want to die, do it alone-don’t drag us into it
“When they come in, apologize to them! Don’t cause me any more trouble!”
He’d already lost his power in the Tucker family. The last thing he wanted was to make an enemy of the most powerful gang in Capaville. He couldn’t afford to mess with them now.
At this moment, he felt nothing but irritation for Margaret. All she did was cause trouble and embarrass
him.
No matter how loud Matthew shouted, Margaret acted like she couldn’t hear him. She just kept eating. quietly, ignoring him completely.
Her indifference only made Matthew’s head throb with anger. This unfilial daughter will drive me up the wall one day!
Two men in black walked into the living
, each carying a box. No one knew what was inside.
“Gentlemen, please have a seat,” Matthew said, pulling out chairs for them with a fawning tone.
If he could curry favor with the Black Dragon Gang, he’d have a powerful ally to help him take back control of the Tucker family.
But the two men ignored him completely. They stood straight as boards, not giving Matthew even a little
respect.
Matthew’s face turned awkward. He then yelled at Margaret, “Margaret! This is all your fault! Get over here and apologize to them right now!”
