Chapter 91 Nationwide Exposure

No one could’ve guessed the banquet-meant to clean Clara’s and Michelle’s names-would end like this.
Instead of clearing their names, it made their mess a million times worse.
In the lounge, the Tuckers and Millers sat in a tense huddle. The air was thick with anger and fear.
“Mommy, what do we do? What do we do?!” Michelle sobbed into her mother’s arms, shaking uncontrollably.
“Now you’re scared?” Gerald snapped. “Where was this fear when you did those things?” He raised his hand, ready to hit her again.
Michelle’s mother pulled her away. “Stop it! You hit her enough in front of everyone! She didn’t do anything unforgivable-just hurt a few stray animals!”
“You-!” Gerald’s head throbbed with rage at his wife’s defense.
Matthew cut in, “Mr. Miller, let’s focus on fixing this first.”
Gerald nodded, turning to his son. “Jose, get that billboard turned off how. Limit how many people see this.” He still thought only that one screen was showing the videos.
“Got it. I’ll make the call right away.” Jose reached for his phone-but it rang first. It was his assistant, the very person he’d planned to contact.
He answered, barking orders. “Shut down the Imperial Building’s billboard now!”
A panicked male voice came through the speaker. “Sir, it’s no use…”
Jose frowned. “What do you mean?”
“The videos-they’re not just on the Imperial Building’s billboard,” the assistant stammered, terrified. “I just got calls. Every digital billboard in every city across Karemin is playing those videos!”
“What?!”

The phone was on speaker. Everyone in the lounge froze, then began to shake.
Those videos have popped up on billboards in cities across the country! It means at least half the nation has seen those terrifying clips!
They’d thought only people near the Imperial Building knew. Even with the high foot traffic, the Tuckers and Millers had the power to handle it.
But half the nation? It was impossible to fix it.
It felt like an invisible mountain had crashed down on them, squeezing the air out of the room.
“And one more thing,” the assistant continued, voice breaking. “Every phone in Karemin got a text at the same time. The texts have those videos attached.”

Gerald fumbled for his phone. Sure enough, there was an unknown message. He opened it-and his face turned ashen. “How… how is this possible?
“We’re ruined. The Miller name is toast in Karemin!”
Gerald’s body shook with despair.
Nearly 90% of Karemin’s population owned a phone, excluding young kids. That meant 90% of the country knew what Clara and Michelle had done. No PR team could fix this.
But it wasn’t over.
“Sir, every TV in Karemin is playing those videos right now too,” the assistant added.
Matthew scrambled to turn on the lounge TV. There, on the screen, were the same terrifying videos. His hand holding the remote shook uncontrollably.
Now, the videos’ reach was practically 100%.
“Clara! Do you have any idea what kind of mess you’ve gotten me into?!” Matthew roared, flinging the remote at her.
Clara didn’t dodge. The remote hit her forehead, splitting the skin. She cried out in pain, tears streaming down her face.
“And you, Michelle!” Gerald exploded. He slapped her hard—no mercy this time. “Do you know how much damage this does to the Miller family?!”
Michelle’s head was spinning from the slap-ears buzzing like crazy and lips throbbing with a searing pain.
Jose, still the calmest, pressed on. “What’s the situation online?”
“The videos are trending on every platform, sir. Everyone’s talking about it.”
“Call the CEOs of those platforms,” Jose ordered. “Tell them to delete the videos and ban all discussions
about this.”
The damage was done. The only way to limit it now was to kill the online buzz.
The first step was to cool things down on the internet.
