Chapter 204: "Start talking"

Chapter Two Hundred and Four

Ahmet didn’t acknowledge them.

"Open it," he ordered.

The metal door groaned as it swung open. Ahmet stepped inside.

Demir sat chained to the chair in the center of the room. But something about the sight immediately made Ahmet’s eyes narrow.

The man looked... too comfortable.

Bruises marked his face, and dried blood stained his shirt, but he wasn’t slumped over or gasping for breath like most prisoners were by this stage.

Instead, he lifted his head slowly, almost lazily, when Ahmet entered.

And smiled.

Ahmet’s jaw tightened. The guards behind him shifted uneasily.

"This is how far you got?" Ahmet asked coldly, glancing at the men who had been torturing him.

One of them cleared his throat. "He hasn’t said much, sir."

Another added, "The most painful object could not even make him scream." The man’s face gave it away as his brows still slightly raised, lips parted like he hadn’t quite recovered from what he had witnessed. There was something unsettled sitting in his expression... something that didn’t belong in a room like this.

Ahmet’s gaze returned to Demir. What were they expecting? Ahmet wasn’t surprised. This man was beyond saving. His mind was twisted and only by twisted means could they get things out of him. He needed to know what war was between their families.

"Bring the new tools." He commanded, his gaze fixed on him as if to establish who was the boss in the room.

The room went still for half a second after the order came. Then one of the guards hurried to obey.

A metal case was brought in and set down on the table beside them. The latches snapped open, revealing the polished steel instruments inside. Things designed to make people beg.

Ahmet watched Demir closely and waited. Looking for the flicker of fear that usually appeared when prisoners realized what was coming next.

But Demir simply leaned back slightly in the chair. And then chuckled.

"You filthy thing," Demir said slowly. His eyes glinted as they locked onto Ahmet. "How dare you lay hands on something that was mine... my woman."

The words slipped out from Demir and Ahmet wondered if he was high.

"Your woman?" he asked and Demir’s smile widened.

"She didn’t tell you?" he asked mockingly. "That she was brought to the Villa for me?"

The room seemed to shrink around Ahmet. When he brought him here to torture, it wasn’t because of Asli. He wanted to know where the rest of the warehouses were to avoid extra work to find them.

"She was supposed to be my plaything," Demir continued casually, as though discussing something trivial. As though he wasn’t chained in his seat. "But she had other plans. Determined little thing. She wanted to be a boss lady instead."

He tilted his head slightly.

"My Uncle decided to give her that," he added. "I knew she was different. The moment she had her first kill, she shivered with fear but then, after her third kill, you could see the bloodthirsty look in her eyes. I wanted her more. But I knew she wasn’t ready. I was waiting for her to be perfect for me."

Something cold crawled through Ahmet’s chest.

"She was supposed to be mine," Demir went on, his voice lowering. "Only mine. Until you foolish man laid your filthy eyes on her. You tainted her innocence."

The chain between his wrists clinked as he shifted slightly in the chair.

Ahmet stared at him. For a minute, he was struck by Demir’s words and couldn’t find his own. But then, it wasn’t what he said that shocked him.

A slow, dangerous understanding settled over him. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Demir knew.

About him. About them. What else did he know?
