Trick Him Into Divorce, Then Flee With His Unknow Kid novel Chapter 104

Chapter 104: Chapter 104 The Last Pretend Marriage

Rose hadn’t expected to hear such a ridiculous title as brother-in-law.

Just moments earlier, Daisy and Logan had exchanged a few careless words that led outsiders to completely misunderstand their family relationship. And now, right in front of Samantha and Ryan, she had been referred to as Ryan’s sister-in-law.

Even Samantha was caught off guard.

A hint of amusement flashed across her eyes, and the smile on her lips gradually deepened.

Only then did she glance at Rose. "My apologies. We’ll sort out our family matters right away."

She accepted the labels of sister and brother-in-law without hesitation.

As far as she was concerned, there was nothing wrong with them.

Ryan remained indifferent, showing no intention of correcting the misunderstanding.

Rose knew exactly what kind of man he was.

Ryan disliked unnecessary trouble. To him, even explaining a misunderstanding carried a cost.

Besides, he was more than willing to grant Samantha that public status.

Why would he deny it?

The head nurse finally waved her hand and returned to work.

Logan was secretly delighted.

When Ryan had been Rose’s husband, he had never offered any meaningful support to the Hill family.

After all, Rose couldn’t win Ryan’s heart, and Ryan had never truly valued her as a wife.

Why would he help her family?

But now it was different.

For Samantha’s sake, Ryan seemed willing to pay any price.

How could Logan not be pleased?

Still, mindful of the public setting, Logan glanced at Rose and lowered his voice.

"Rose, if you have grievances, let’s discuss them privately. Let’s remain civilized."

He didn’t want her ruining this harmonious atmosphere.

Rose’s lips curled slightly.

Yet she refused to back down. "Are you leaving or not?"

There was absolutely no way she would allow them to move in next door to her grandfather.

Their intentions were obvious.

They were here to harass him.

Even though Gabriel suffered from dementia, he hated Logan’s entire family with a passion.

Every member of the Hill family was shameless.

Samantha felt Rose was being ungrateful after already gaining the upper hand.

If not for Samantha’s situation, how could G.S. have secured such a massive investment?

Ryan had spent an enormous amount of money to smooth everything over, helping Rose secure her position at G.S., yet Rose showed not the slightest appreciation.

"I’m sorry, Mr. Knight. Rose has always spoken before thinking."

Daisy shook her head apologetically. "You’ve had a difficult time all these years."

Ryan’s gaze shifted toward Rose.

Her hands hung stiffly at her sides, her fingernails digging so deeply into her palms that they were nearly breaking the skin.

She was clearly on the verge of losing her temper.

He nodded slightly. "I’ll speak with her."

Although Samantha was reluctant to leave, she knew the matter needed to be handled. "Mom, let’s go to the park and get some fresh air first."

Then she smiled at Ryan. "I’ll wait for you."

Her tone was affectionate, like that of a newlywed wife.

As Logan left, he glanced back at Rose. "Watch your attitude. Don’t be disrespectful and argue with Ryan."

Rose let out a slow laugh.

Disrespectful?

Did he truly believe Ryan was her brother-in-law now?

The family finally disappeared from sight.

Rose didn’t waste time.

She spoke calmly and directly. "If you don’t get them moved elsewhere, and they cause trouble for my grandfather, then forget about the divorce."

She looked him straight in the eye. "Samantha can remain a mistress in the shadows for the rest of her life."

She knew exactly where Ryan’s weakness lay.

At this critical moment, with the divorce certificate only days away, Samantha’s status was the one thing Ryan couldn’t ignore.

How could he possibly allow anything to jeopardize it?

As expected, Ryan’s gaze deepened slightly.

Though he showed no obvious displeasure, Rose knew she had struck a nerve.

After several seconds, the corners of his lips curved faintly. "Fine."

His voice was calm. "I agree."

Rose knew better than anyone that negotiating with Ryan was effective.

The Hill family was unreasonable.

They would stop at nothing to make her life difficult.

Ironically, the only reason she could reach an agreement at all was because Ryan cared so much about protecting Samantha’s status.

With that settled, her mood eased considerably. "Then I won’t keep you from your date with the Hill family."

She forced a smile. "Enjoy yourselves."

She had no intention of wasting another second on him.

Turning around, she headed toward Gabriel’s hospital room.

But before she could take more than a few steps, she froze.

Her grandfather was pushing his wheelchair toward them.

When he spotted the two of them together, confusion briefly clouded his eyes before recognition returned.

His face lit up. "RoRo? Ryan?"

Rose scratched her head awkwardly.

She hadn’t expected to be caught.

Ryan stepped forward. "Grandpa."
