Trick Him Into Divorce, Then Flee With His Unknow Kid novel Chapter 123

Chapter 123: Chapter 123 Ariel is Trevor’s daughter

That possibility made James laugh in disbelief.

Even though his sister still hadn’t returned home, the marriage contract between the two families was a binding agreement. Her disappearance wasn’t the Taylor family’s fault, and if the Robinson family intended to back out of the arrangement, he would have to accept it.

He understood the situation perfectly well.

With his sister’s whereabouts still unknown, it was unreasonable to expect Trevor to wait forever.

But James’s heart was completely on his sister’s side.

Even knowing it was unfair, he simply couldn’t bring himself to see things from Trevor’s perspective.

He didn’t care if it made him seem overbearing.

All he knew was that his sister could not be wronged.

“I’m going out to take a look.” James slammed his wineglass onto the table.

The Robinson family had never mentioned anything about Trevor having a child.

The sudden appearance of a daughter was something that needed to be verified.

“Mr. Taylor, don’t act impulsively. Maybe it’s just a misunderstanding,” Samantha hurriedly said.

Judging by James’s expression, he looked ready to storm out and confront Trevor.

Ryan also turned to look at him, his low, calm voice serving as a reminder.

“The Robinson family isn’t an ordinary family, and Trevor has never been known for reckless behavior.”

Even if the Robinson family no longer wished to wait for the Taylor family’s missing daughter, they would have discussed ending the engagement openly.

They wouldn’t secretly have a child behind the Taylor family’s back.

But one thing was certain.

Ryan’s dark eyes narrowed slightly as he looked toward the direction Trevor had left.

Trevor’s decision to mention his daughter publicly in front of James today was definitely not an accident.

It was, in its own way, a message.

Ryan knew Trevor’s character well.

If Trevor were the type to fool around casually, the engagement wouldn’t have lasted this long.

“I still need to know what’s going on.” James turned and strode out.

Samantha felt as though she’d been bombarded with shocking information all day. Turning to Ryan, she asked, “Should we go take a look too?”

Ryan set down his wineglass.

“Yeah.”

Rose pulled into the parking lot.

Ariel had already unbuckled herself and hopped out of the car.

Rose followed more slowly. The security at the venue was reliable enough.

Just then, someone from the lab called.

Rose stayed in the driver’s seat, keeping an eye on Ariel while answering the phone.

Then she spotted Trevor.

His tall, imposing figure had just appeared at the entrance.

Only then did she relax and let Ariel run ahead.

Trevor’s pace wasn’t particularly fast.

Meanwhile, James arrived beneath the hotel’s Roman columns, followed closely by Ryan and the others.

Ryan normally had little interest in other people’s private affairs, but James wasn’t sure whether he might do something impulsive.

Just as they approached—

A sweet, childish voice rang out nearby.

“Daddy!”

Ryan’s long strides abruptly halted.

His gaze instantly shifted toward the source of the voice.

A small figure puffed up the steps as fast as her little legs could carry her.

Trevor immediately crouched down and scooped her into his arms.

The entire exchange happened in an instant.

Only then did Ryan clearly see the child’s face.

Ariel.

Ariel Robinson.

He silently repeated the name in his mind.

But Ariel, thrilled to see Trevor after so long, wrapped her arms around his neck and called out again.

“Daddy, you must be tired from your flight!”

The word Daddy struck Ryan’s ears like a sharp blow.

The little girl’s bright smile revealed deep dimples, sweet enough to make it impossible to look away.

And strangely familiar.

Ryan stared at Ariel’s face, an inexplicable ache tightening in his chest.

He knew Ariel belonged to the Robinson family.
