Rose knew Ryan was still at the hospital.

He had set aside all of his work to stay with Samantha’s younger brother, whose injury had ultimately turned out to be nothing more than a minor scrape.

At least that saved her the trouble of tracking Ryan down herself.

Ariel was hooked up to an IV.

The bump on her head had been cleaned and treated.

The little girl had finally fallen asleep.

Rose gently tucked the blanket around her daughter.

"I believe so."

Owen hesitated. "Apparently there was a child in Ms. Robinson’s car. The child wasn’t there when I arrived."

Ryan’s eyes darkened. "A Robinson family child?"

"That’s what I heard. The mother took the child away immediately for treatment after the accident."

By then, Ryan had already reached the hospital room.

His hand settled on the doorknob.

"Understood."

He ended the call.

The door opened slightly.

A voice sounded behind him.
