Trick Him Into Divorce, Then Flee With His Unknow Kid novel Chapter 65

Chapter 65: Chapter 65 Who Is the Real Mrs. Knight?

Rose looked at Daisy, who stood before her with an air of helplessness.

She had ruined her mother’s marriage, driven her out of the home where she had grown up, and left her to fend for herself for years, while she and her daughter moved in and enjoyed a life of luxury and privilege. And now... she actually had the nerve to come and persuade her to give up her husband.

Rose’s lips curled slightly as she enunciated each word.

"Did Ryan send you here to claim your rightful place?"

Samantha swept her gaze over Rose from head to toe.

"Of course there are things Ryan can’t say himself. Maybe he wants you to get the hell out of the Knight family."

"This is a family matter—something that should be settled behind closed doors. Once you’re divorced, who’s going to know you were married for seven years? If no one knows you shared a bed with someone for seven years, it’ll be much easier for you to remarry. We’re only thinking of what’s best for you."

Daisy’s expression was filled with what appeared to be sincere concern, but to Rose, the smile on her face was nothing short of disgusting.

She was hypocrisy personified.

Rose suddenly smiled, though her eyes remained ice-cold.

"Fine. Then both of you can kneel right here and beg me. If you do, I might consider passing this secondhand junk on to her."

Samantha’s expression changed instantly.

She couldn’t believe Rose would make such an outrageous demand.

Daisy could no longer maintain her hypocritical facade.

"Rose, you’re being completely unreasonable!"

Rose couldn’t be bothered to argue with her.

Wasting energy on trash was no different from being haunted by a ghost.

Ignoring the ugly expressions on their faces, she turned and walked away.

Diana had already finished her main tasks.

When Rose approached, Diana was still in high spirits.

"Thank goodness Ryan was too busy to come. Otherwise, Samantha might’ve actually gotten her way. She wanted to publicly stake her claim? In her dreams!"

Dragging Ryan into the livestream with her.

Did she really need to explain what her intentions were?

Rose rubbed the bridge of her nose and calmly stated a fact.

"That’s because Ryan indulges her and gives her whatever she wants. Even though it didn’t work out this time, the fact that he agreed to accompany her tells everyone that Samantha is his exception."

If there was a first time, there would be a second.

Watching Rose calmly explain the special treatment her husband gave another woman, Diana opened her mouth, then closed it again. In the end, she simply stepped forward and hugged her gently.

"It’s okay. Once the divorce papers are finalized, we’ll say goodbye to all these rotten people and all this mess for good."

Rose returned the hug.

"I’m fine. I’ve been fine for a long time. A person can’t spend their entire life relying on something as fragile as love."

She had Ariel, her career, and her friends.

There was nothing to regret.

Only then did Diana finally feel relieved.

"The theme of this documentary series is exploring the world behind the scenes of modern medicine. After the second livestream, we’ll have to wait another week before filming begins."

Rose thought it was an excellent topic.

People in their profession worked tirelessly in laboratories day and night, developing countless medicines that saved lives. It was good for the public to see that side of things.

Diana drove her back to G.S.

The moment Rose arrived; she headed straight for the lab.

Although the project at Columbia University had been delayed because of Samantha, and some of her work had been temporarily put on hold, she had plenty of other projects demanding her attention.

Whether it was the prototype medical robot scheduled for launch in the first half of the year—a machine capable of performing microsurgery and assisting with complex diagnostic procedures—or the neuropharmaceutical research she had pursued for years, her schedule was packed.

Rose appeared as one of the guests during the second livestream.

Diana deliberately gave her additional screen time and more opportunities to share educational insights.

Rose handled everything effortlessly and didn’t appear nervous in the slightest.

When the livestream ended, Diana hurried over, practically glowing with excitement.

"That face of yours belongs on the big screen. You nearly took my breath away! The comments are full of people saying you’re prettier than any movie star. Once the documentary airs, Samantha won’t even be able to hold her head up."

Rose glanced at the livestream comments.

There were indeed plenty of remarks praising her beauty.

She merely smiled and let it pass.

That afternoon, her phone began buzzing nonstop.

The messages were from the wealthy young socialites in Ryan’s circle—people she rarely kept in contact with.

[Mrs. Knight, it’s Ella’s baby’s welcome party. You have to come. It won’t be the same without you.]

Rose was surprised they had invited her.

Her phone vibrated again.
