Arabella glanced at him. “Why are you apologizing? It’s not your fault.”

If anyone was to blame, it was Naomi and Ruby or showing up uninvited and stirring up drama.
Lucas gave a light chuckle. “Fair enough. Did you drive here? I’m leaving too–I can give you a ride if you’d like.”
“No need, thanks. I have my car,” Arabella replied.
“Alright,” Lucas said easily.
Then, the two of them walked down the stairs together.
“Where did you park?” Lucas asked casually.
“You’ll see,” Arabella said as she turned toward the parking lot.
Lucas watched her for a moment, a smile touching his lips. She really is something else.
He then made his way to his own vehicle.
When Arabella stopped beside her car, a flicker of surprise crossed Lucas‘ eyes. “Would you look at that? My car is right next to yours.”
“Oh?” Arabella finally looked at the sedan parked beside hers.
It was indeed the same car he had driven her in before.
“That’s quite a coincidence.
“I’m heading out now,” Arabella said, pulling open her car door and sliding inside.
“See you tomorrow,” Lucas said with a smile, giving her a slight wave.
Arabella started the engine and drove away from the academy under his gaze.
After she left, Lucas got out off his car and returned to his office.
Inside Macdonald Villa, Harper was lounging comfortably on the sofa with her head in Dylan’s lap, watching a movie.

“The fruit tastes so much better when you feed i to me,” Harper said sweetly, looking up at Dylan with an adoring gaze.
“Yeah? Here, have another piece,” Dylan replied, his eyes equally full of affection.
“Don’t just feed me–you have some too,” Harper said with a blissful smile.
“Okay.”
The two of them couldn’t have looked more relaxed and content.
Suddenly, Harper noticed the lingering bruise on Dylan’s wrist and asked with concern, “Does your hand still hurt, sweetie?”
“It’s still a little sore. Maybe if you kiss it, it’ll heal faster,” Dylan said, putting on a pitiful pout.
“Okay, I’ll kiss it for you.”
“Does that feel better?” Harper gently kissed his wrist a few times.
Dylan smiled, satisfied. “Yeah, much better. You’re the only one who really takes care of me.”
“Of course I am. I care about you the most,” Harper said with earnest sincerity.
“It’s all Arabella’s fault. Who would have thought she’d managed to cozy up to the CEO of Horizon Corp? If it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have gotten hurt!
“And I wouldn’t have been humiliated in front of Edward and Mr. Stewart, either!” Harper said, her face flushed with indignation.
“Ugh! If Mr. Stewart hadn’t been there that day, would have slapped her silly!” Dylan said through gritted teeth.
Just thinking about the incident made his blood boil with a rage he couldn’t discharge.
He had just gone to visit Edward, and then he ran into Arabella, who ended up injuring his hand. What a vile woman!
Every time their paths crossed, he somehow ended up getting hurt for no good reason.
It was so infuriating!
“You’re absolutely right! I only held back because there were witnesses.
“Otherwise, you know me–I would have clawed her eyes out!”

Then, Dylan looked at Harper with a puzzled expression. “It’s really weird, though. How did Arabella get to know the CEO of Horizon Corp?
“She never mentioned it before…
“But that day, they seemed pretty familiar. Mr. Stewart even seemed really protective of her.”
“I remember he called her ‘Dr. Macdonald‘ at the time…” Dylan frowned, beginning to piece things together.
“Now that you mention it, you’re right. He did call her Dr. Macdonald.
“But since when is Arabella a doctor?” Harper asked, looking back at Dylan with equal confusion.
Their eyes met, both equally baffled.
Just then, Freya walked into the room.
