“They haven’t even consulted a hospital?” Arabella found that difficult to believe.

“Then release the official closure notice as soon as possible,” Arabella said calmly.

“Instead of being stuck on this case, it’s better to close it. Once the person behind it feels the heat is off, they’ll likely get careless again.

Soon, Alfred pulled up at the academy entrance.

“I won’t pick you up after class, then. I’ll leave the car with you so you can get home easily,” Alfred said.

Since they were proceeding with the plan, he needed to give her the necessary space.

Alfred got out of the driver’s seat. “Don’t worry about me. I’ll grab a cab.

“Go ahead in. I’m heading out,” he said, turning to walk toward the main road.

Turning, she saw Lucas approaching.

“Just getting here too?” Lucas asked, walking up to her with a friendly smile.

Arabella returned the smile. “Shall we go in?”

“Starting a new training today. Nervous?” Lucas asked as they walked.

“Not really,” Arabella replied. Nervousness wasn’t the issue; she was mostly feeling anticipation.

After all, the third phase meant leaving the simulators behind for actual flight time.
