“You haven’t seemed like yourself lately. Maybe you’re pushing yourself too hard,” Ethan advised gently. “You need to be more careful. If you’re really that worn out, take a few days off to relax.”

“Mm, I know,” Naomi murmured, lightly biting her lip before nodding.

He still cared about her, just like he always had.

A short while later, Ethan dropped Naomi off in front of her office building.

“Since you don’t have your car, I can pick you up after work,” Ethan reminded her

She had just settled into her chair when her phone rang.

“Ruby, are you feeling any better?” Naomi asked as she answered.
