“When you ask a doctor to see a patient, you can’t just get it for free by flapping your lips. You have to pay the fee, right?” Arabella replied matter–of–factly.

Matthew frowned, genuinely at a loss for words.

Here this woman was, at a time like this, still in the mood to bring up medical fees with him.

‘She’s the one who isn’t feeling well. She should pay.” It wasn’t like he was the one needing the checkup.

‘Arabella, I… I’m actually fine now. The dizziness is gone, and I think my strength is coming back,” Naomi said, struggling to her fe vhile still trying to appear frail.

Arabella gave her a once–over. “You do seem alright.”

She glanced at the screen and picked up. “Hey Lucas.”

‘Time’s up? Okay, I’ll head over now.”

Hanging up, she turned to Matthew. “Since she’s fine, I’m going to get to my flight practice.”

He didn’t try to stop her. Instead, he made his way toward his car

Naomi quickened her pace to catch up, eager to explain “Thank you, Mr. Stewart. I think I just need a little rest and I’ll be okay That’s why I didn’t want to trouble Arabella about it.”
