The idea had struck her earlier that day, so she decided to prepare dinner for everyone.
"Arabella, you coming home is the greatest gift any of us could ask for," Ethan said, his eyes warm with affection.
"I just want to do what I can for the family. It makes me happy," Arabella replied.
Hearing that, Ethan couldn't argue. "Alright then, let's go pick up what we need."
"Sure," Arabella said with a bright smile. "Ethan, you can choose anything you'd like."
"Just for me?" Ethan sounded pleased.
"Absolutely—anything you're in the mood for, as long as I know how to make it," she assured him.
Ethan pretended to ponder it seriously. "Well, I'll have to think it over. Opportunities like this don't come around every day."
"What's the big deal?" Arabella laughed lightly. "Any time you want something special, just tell me. I'll make it for you, Ethan."
"Ah," he sighed contentedly. "Having a thoughtful little sister is the best."
"Hah," she chuckled. "I'm the lucky one, honestly. Getting so many brothers at once."
And each of them adored her. She also had parents who cherished her, and grandparents who spoiled her. It felt like her life had completely turned around—like she'd reached a whole new level of happiness.
"When you have a bunch of brothers, they're not exactly rare," Ethan remarked warmly. "But a sister—especially one as clever, sweet, and capable as you—now that's something people would envy."
"Okay, okay, no one boasts about their own sister like that," Arabella said, slightly embarrassed.
"I'm only stating facts," Ethan replied matter-of-factly.
Chatting and laughing, the two made their way to the supermarket to gather ingredients.
Nearby, a Rolls-Royce pulled over to the curb.
"Mr. Stewart, that looks like Dr. Hamilton and Mr. Hamilton," Andy said quietly from the driver's seat.
Following Andy's gaze, Matthew spotted Arabella and Ethan immediately.
"I wonder what Dr. Hamilton and Mr. Hamilton are doing at the supermarket," Andy murmured, more to himself than anything.
"We'll see," Matthew responded, his tone low.
"Huh?" Andy hesitated briefly before catching himself. "Right."
He must have had a momentary lapse to even think of questioning his boss.
Leaning back against the seat, Matthew kept his eyes fixed on the supermarket entrance.
"Mr. Stewart, maybe... we should go inside and take a look?" Andy ventured after a moment.
Matthew didn't answer, only shot him a cool glance. Andy didn't dare push further.
The car fell quiet. After a while, Matthew shifted his attention from the entrance and picked up the folder resting beside him.
Andy peeked discreetly into the rearview mirror, then focused intently on the doors, worried he might miss them when they came out.
It felt like a long wait.
