Dylan's eyes, which he had just shut, snapped open immediately.
Pretend to faint?
Who in their right mind would try that now?
He was struggling hard not to actually black out for real.
Arabella gave a satisfied nod. "That's more like it. Patients should cooperate with their treatment."
"Mrs. Johnston, step aside, please." She turned her gaze to Dylan. "We're starting now. If it hurts, just grit your teeth and bear it."
"Mom... Mom..." Dylan was terrified, but completely helpless.
Just as the needle tip approached his eye, Dylan finally broke down completely. "Stop!"
"What is it?" Arabella asked, sounding puzzled.
"I-I think my headache... It's gone. All of a sudden," Dylan mumbled, defeat clear in his voice.
He was genuinely scared. That needle looked like it could do some real damage.
"You sure?" Arabella checked.
Dylan surrendered completely. "Yes. Positive."
Arabella shrugged lightly and sighed. "Well, I guess you don't need me then."
She glanced at the other specialists in the room. "Maybe you should run another checkup, see if he's fully recovered."
Suddenly, everyone seemed to catch on. They exchanged looks, momentarily at a loss.
"That won't be necessary," Orion cut in, his tone cool. "These test results are clear enough. And since Mr. Johnston isn't feeling any discomfort now, he must be fine."
It had never crossed his mind that the whole thing might be an act.
"Right, he's probably perfectly healthy."
"Orion, just document what happened today."
Others chimed in one after another.
Sarah panicked and quickly changed her story. "No, no—my son was treated by all of you."
If they called Dylan out for faking, things would get much worse.
"Oh, yeah," Dylan caught on. "I just got better now."
"But this young lady hasn't actually done anything yet," someone pointed out.
"What does she know about real treatment?" Sarah shot back. "The specialists we hired are the ones who cured him. Their treatment just hadn't fully taken effect yet, and she tried to take credit for it." She added sharply, "Not only that, I'm going to sue her for attempted malpractice and fraud."
"Mrs. Johnston, you can't make accusations like that without evidence," Orion said, annoyed.
"The needle in her hand is evidence! Jabbing someone dozens of times with that—she was obviously trying to harm him," Sarah insisted through clenched teeth.
"Whatever." Arabella didn't seem bothered. She calmly put away her silver needles and prepared to leave.
"Miss, could I have a word with you?" Aaron asked eagerly.
Orion immediately stepped between them. "Aaron, Dr. Hamilton is already under contract with our hospital."
Aaron shot him a look. "I'm just interested in her medical skill. I'm not trying to recruit her."
Only then did Orion relax slightly. "Alright then."
Aaron turned back to Arabella, his expression warming into a smile. "Would that be okay?"
Seeing Aaron meant no harm, Arabella nodded. "Sure."
"Then let's use Orion's office," Aaron suggested cheerfully.
Orion complained, "Why my office?"
The smile dropped from Aaron's face. "Aren't you worried I'll try to steal her? This way you can keep an eye on us and feel better."
Orion's mouth twitched. "Fine."
The group walked off, chatting as they went. Gradually, everyone else filed out of the hospital room too.
"Hey! Is anyone even listening to me?" Sarah shouted, furious and ignored.
The only response came from two police officers who entered the room moments later.

The readers' comments on the novel: True Heiress Returns to Her Unemployed Rich Family (Arabella)
This has been going for too long in circles. Reached ch 654 and it's still the same twists no changes at all. Other novels reaches it's climax not beyond ch 300 and it's more captivating. Don't let us readers abandon this....
Update please...
I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
