Matthew paused, towel in hand, and frowned. "How did you get in here?"

"Matthew." Naomi put on a seductive smile and stepped slowly toward him. "Your grandfather invited me to stay over. I came out for a glass of water and somehow ended up in your room."

Matthew's gaze was icy. "Get out."

"Matthew, we've known each other since we were kids. I always thought... I always believed I'd be your wife one day. All these years, that's all I've wanted. Tell me you've never felt anything for me." Her voice softened, and she deliberately tugged her collar lower.

"Out. Now." Matthew's tone could have frozen the air.

Naomi paled slightly, but she knew this might be her only shot. She couldn't back down now.

"What have I ever done wrong? How can you be so cold?" Tears welled up instantly. She stumbled forward, trying to fall into his arms.

Matthew sidestepped her, his expression glacial. "Keep this up, and I'll have you removed from Stewart Manor immediately."

Naomi shuddered. She knew he wasn't bluffing.

"Matthew, how could you..." Sobbing, she turned and hurried out of the room.

Matthew's eyes narrowed, cold and sharp enough to pierce through steel.

He grabbed his phone and called Andy. "Come pick me up."

"Yes, sir." Andy didn't ask questions, responding swiftly.

After hanging up, Matthew changed quickly. Not long after, Andy arrived and drove him away from Stewart Manor.

"Mr. Stewart, it's late. Is everything alright?" Andy ventured, glancing in the rearview mirror.

"Fine," Matthew replied flatly.

Andy's lips twitched. "Where to, then?"

"Sia Hotel."

Andy's eyebrows rose. Checking into a hotel in the middle of the night? Something was definitely up.

He stole another look at Matthew. "Did he and Robert have a fallout? But Mr. Stewart seemed calm when I arrived, and the house was quiet. If they'd argued, wouldn't Robert be up?

"Then why leave home so late? Aside from Mr. Stewart and his grandfather, the manor was empty."

"What's with the muttering?" Matthew's sharp voice cut through Andy's thoughts.

A chill ran down Andy's spine. "Nothing, sir. Just thinking out loud."

Matthew shot him a warning look before turning away.

Andy exhaled quietly. At least he wasn't going to press further.

They reached the Sia Hotel shortly after.

Once Matthew was settled, Andy booked himself a room nearby and called it a night.

Matthew stood by the window, his deep, cold eyes gleaming under the city lights—intense enough to make anyone shiver.
