"The patient has only sustained minor abrasions, but we still need to be cautious. Follow the aftercare instructions carefully—I've already applied antiseptic. Over the next few days, make sure to—"
"We got it, we'll remember everything," Florence assured.
"Good," the doctor replied. "Call me anytime if anything comes up."
Just as he was about to leave, Florence stopped him. "Wait—she's injured too. Could you take a look?"
"Another patient?" The doctor followed Florence's gaze toward Naomi.
"Is it just your palm that's scraped?" he asked.
Naomi nodded. "Yes."
"That shouldn't be too bad. Let me clean and dress it for you," the doctor said, proceeding to tend to Naomi's wound.
Florence had already stepped into Arabella's room, and the others followed quietly.
Only Naomi and the doctor remained outside.
Naomi's expression soured. Of course, they'd all rushed in to fuss over Arabella.
Her own injury might have been minor, but it was still an injury!
"All done," the doctor said, finishing up. He added, "Same care instructions as before. Yours isn't serious—it should heal quickly."
With that, he picked up his medical bag and walked away.
Naomi's face tightened. Even the doctor hadn't taken her seriously, rushing through the treatment.
She glanced down at her bandaged palm, bit her lip, and headed into Arabella's room.
"Oh, sweetheart, we came out here to enjoy ourselves, and now this happened. I almost wish we hadn't come at all," Lena said, her voice heavy with concern.
"It's really okay, Grandma. They're just scrapes—I'll be fine in no time," Arabella reassured her gently.
"The doctor said we shouldn't take this lightly," Florence reminded her, worry still lining her voice.
Arabella offered a small, confident smile. "Mom, you're forgetting—I'm a doctor too. I know how to handle this. Please don't worry."
Florence sighed softly. "You just went out for a hike and ended up getting hurt like this. How can I not worry?"
"I told you, it was an accident. Nobody could've seen it coming," Arabella said, her eyes shifting toward Naomi as she entered.
"Arabella," Naomi began, sounding genuinely remorseful. "This is all my fault. You got hurt because of me."
"Don't worry about it," Arabella replied. "You didn't mean for it to happen."
Her gaze lingered on Naomi's bandaged hand. So she had been hurt too.
"How's your hand?" Arabella asked.
"Just a small scrape. It'll heal fast," Naomi said. "But your injuries look more serious. You should really listen to the doctor."
"It's nothing—a few scrapes here and there, but still just scrapes," Arabella insisted. She glanced around the room and frowned. "Where's Mr. Stewart?"

Update please...
I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
