True Heiress Returns to Her Unemployed Rich Family (Arabella) novel Chapter 603

The driver hesitated for a moment. "How about heading to an amusement park, Ms. Miller?"

Brielle pursed her lips, thought it over, then shook her head. "No, thanks."

She pulled out her phone and dialed Arabella.

"Hey, are you free right now?" Brielle asked, her tone lacking its usual energy.

Noticing the downcast note in her voice, Arabella was puzzled. "What's going on? You sound kind of low."

"If you're not busy... want to grab lunch together?" Brielle asked.

Right then, she really needed to see Arabella. It felt like only talking to her could lighten her mood and settle the restlessness inside.

"Sure, of course." Sensing something was weighing on Brielle, Arabella agreed without hesitation.

Brielle brightened up a little. "Let's grab some spicy buffalo wings—the hottest ones they've got."

"Can you handle that much heat?" Arabella asked, a touch concerned.

"Heh," Brielle chuckled sheepishly. "Okay, maybe medium spice then?"

Arabella laughed softly. "I'll book a table and text you the address. Meet you around noon?"

Brielle agreed cheerfully. "Perfect. See you then."

"Alright." Arabella ended the call.

She hit the intercom button. "Chloe, book a table for two at that grill spot, make it medium heat."

"On it," Chloe replied.

Arabella released the intercom and returned to her work.

Around noon, Arabella arrived at the reserved private booth in the upscale grill house.

Brielle was already there and waved her over. "Arabella, over here!"

Arabella slid into the seat across from her and smiled. "Have you been waiting long?"

"Not at all, I just got here too," Brielle said. "I already put in our order for the signature sauce platter and a full spread of sides. They should bring it out any minute now."

"No worries." Arabella studied Brielle's face. "You sounded pretty upset earlier. Did something happen?"

"Ugh," Brielle sighed. "There's just... something I can't wrap my head around."

"Like what?" Arabella asked curiously.

Brielle was usually so carefree and lighthearted—it wasn't like her to get tangled up over things.

"It's about Matthew," Brielle said, her expression turning helpless. "He still won't agree to marry me. I went to see him today and... he turned me down, again."
