Ethan was seated in Edward's usual spot at the desk.
"Start talking. Who sent you?" His gaze was icy, his tone even more chilling.
The men in front of him were pinned down by security, unable to move, their faces already bruised.
They exchanged glances. Finally, the one in charge gritted his teeth. "Nobody sent us."
"Hah." Ethan let out a light, almost casual laugh, but it sent a chill down everyone's spine.
"Fine. Keep it to yourself. It's not like I really need to know." He motioned to the security team. "Take them to the roof and throw them off."
"What?!" Even the guards were stunned.
The intruders panicked instantly. "That's murder! You'd go to jail for that!"
Ethan raised an eyebrow, calm and composed. "You broke into my company to steal. Security caught you, chased you up to the roof, and in your panic, you fell. How exactly is that murder?"
"You—!" They stared at him, horrified. He looked polished and respectable on the outside, but underneath, he was ruthless.
The security team still hadn't moved, visibly unsure.
When they didn't respond, Ethan frowned slightly, impatience seeping into his voice. "What are you all waiting for? Should I do it myself?"
"N-no, sir!" The guards snapped back to attention and began dragging the men toward the door.
"Wait! Please—!" one of them cried out, truly terrified now. He hadn't expected Ethan to be serious.
Another blurted out, "Okay, okay! I'll talk!"
"Should've done that from the start," Ethan said coolly. He leaned back in the chair and propped his feet up on the desk.
Security hauled them back into the room, keeping a firm grip so they couldn't bolt.
"I don't know who they are for real," the leader stammered. "We just had a phone number. You can trace it—I'm sure you'll find out who's behind it."
Ethan pressed further. "Why did they want you to steal the company seal and files?"
"Once we got them, they told us to sell the company fast—any price, just get it off the books ASAP," the man explained.
Ethan's eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly. He picked up Edward's corporate seal, turning it slowly in his hand, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
"I see," he said simply. Then, he said to security, "Take them where they need to go."
The guards hesitated. "Where to, sir?"
"The roof," Ethan replied, enunciating each word slowly.
The men nearly collapsed on the spot, begging on their knees. "Please, no! We told you everything!"
"We swear, that's all we know!"
One of the guards spoke up awkwardly, "Sir, that's... probably not the best idea."
Ethan seemed to consider it for a moment. "You're right. Take them to the police station instead."
The security team almost let out a laugh, managing to hold it back just in time.
She'd had no choice but to step back before, but watching it slip away would have hurt deeply.
"Just luck," Ethan said, glancing toward Edward. "Guess fortune was on your side today."
He hadn't planned on stopping by. He was just in the neighborhood and decided to come up—only to walk right into the middle of the mess and clean it up.
"My luck is having Arabella as my sister," Edward said, emotion warming his voice, "and through her, getting to know you."
He'd thought it was over this time. Sure, he could start again, but this company wasn't just another business—it was part of him.
He never expected Ethan to appear out of nowhere and save it.
It felt nothing short of a miracle.
Ethan met Edward's grateful look. "Don't get sentimental. It's handled."
He paused, then added, "So what's your next move?"
"They've crossed too many lines," Edward said, his expression turning somber.
"Ethan," Arabella began, biting her lip slightly. "They won't stop here. Especially once they find out their plan failed. They're going to spiral. My brother could still be in danger..."
"I know." Ethan nodded calmly. "Don't worry. I'll keep an eye on things for now."
Those two weren't the type to quit quietly.
"Edward," Arabella turned to her brother, her tone firm. "You need to watch the company closely too. Especially if strangers approach with partnership offers. The bigger the deal sounds, the more careful you have to be."

The readers' comments on the novel: True Heiress Returns to Her Unemployed Rich Family (Arabella)
This has been going for too long in circles. Reached ch 654 and it's still the same twists no changes at all. Other novels reaches it's climax not beyond ch 300 and it's more captivating. Don't let us readers abandon this....
Update please...
I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
