Owen trembled under the rebuke, bowing his head without a word.
“You can leave now,” Arabella said, effectively dismissing him from the room.

Matthew watched Owen go with clear displeasure. If Arabella hadn’t reprimanded him first, he would have fired him on the spot.
“Is he stable now?” Matthew asked, worry still lining his voice.
“Mostly. But this episode means Robert needs even more careful rest. He must avoid any kind of stress.
“I’ll adjust his medication,” Arabella added, picking up a pen and notepad to write a new prescription.
“Andy, have this prepared according to Dr. Macdonald’s instructions,” Matthew ordered.
“Right away.”
Just then, Robert began to stir.
He looked at Arabella, his voice weak. “Thank you for coming, Dr. Macdonald. For a moment there, I thought it was over.”
Arabella offered a reassuring smile. “You’ll be alright. Just focus on resting.”
Robert gave a slight nod and closed his eyes again.
After packing her acupuncture needles, Arabella was seen out by Matthew.
“Thank you for today. If you have time later, I’d like to express my gratitude properly,” Matthew said, his gaze holding a new layer of respect.
Arabella had saved his grandfather twice during critical moments her judgment completely.
Seeing Matthew’s sudden formality, Arabella frowned slightly.
He was beginning to trust
Why
as he being so courteous all of a sudden?
But she didn’t need his thanks. Besides, she had other matters to attend to.
“No thanks necessary. Just take good care of him I’ll be going now,” she said, turning to leave.

Chapter 89 Unmasking True Intentions
As she turned, Naomi’s voice sounded from nearby. “Arabella, how is Mr. Stewart?”
She looked at Arabella with apparent concern.
Arabella was momentarily confused. Hadn’t she left? Why was she still here?
“He’s stable,” Arabella replied.
“Why are you still here?” Matthew gave Naomi a cool look.

“I was worried about Mr. Stewart, so I waited,” Naomi said softly, as if afraid of being scolded.
“I’ll leave you to it,” Arabella said, continuing down the hallway.
Matthew watched her go, a flicker of frustration crossing his face.
Naomi’s interruption had kept him from saying what he’d intended.
“You may go as well,” he said flatly before turning back into the room, leaving Naomi alone in the corridor.
“All he does is send me away. He won’t even let me check on Mr. Stewart,” Naomi muttered under her breath before finally leaving.
Meanwhile, the sudden bankruptcy of the Macdonald family hit Carter like a physical blow.
He slumped in his chair, staring blankly at the wall.
The abrupt collapse left him disoriented, unsure what to do next.
Freya entered with a glass of water. Seeing Carter’s troubled expression, she asked, “Carter, what in the world happened? How could the company go under overnight?”
“I don’t know.” He hadn’t been deeply involved in the day–to–day operations and had no idea where things had gone wrong.
“Have you had someone look into it?” Freya pressed.
“Yes, but it likely won’t help. For everything to fall apart this suddenly, someone must be targeting us.
“I just don’t know who would do this!” Carter said, anger tightening his voice.
Suddenly, he looked at Freya. “Tell me–have you offended anyone from another family recently?”
He strongly suspected a rival in the district had orchestrated this.
