Duanmu Yunji: Luo the Immortal, did you come to the Capital City today?
Luofeng had already told Duanmu Yunji yesterday that he was coming to the Capital City today, and they’d agreed to have dinner together.
Originally he was supposed to arrive at five in the afternoon, but now it was already seven.
Naturally, no one told Duanmu Yunji about what happened with the plane.
Luofeng had also instructed them not to say anything.
Luofeng: I’m in Tianjing. There was a bit of a problem with the flight, we landed here, I’m on the way now, I probably won’t get there until after eight.
Duanmu Yunji: Oh, okay then, Luo the Immortal, I kinda miss you!
Luofeng looked at the message from the Capital City Great Cat and couldn’t help but smile. This Capital City Great Cat, seems like she really does miss him, huh?
And what she misses isn’t just the person, but all those "good things" too.
The big kitty is one of those players who suck at games but love playing them.
Luofeng: Be good, practice your piano properly first, I’ll be there in a bit.
Duanmu Yunji: Okay!
After ending his chat with Duanmu Yunji, Luofeng immediately contacted Huang Qiyang and said, "Two things!"
"Go ahead," Huang Qiyang said.
"First, for this flight incident investigation, people from Zhongyi Tang will be involved! Everyone related to it has to be heavily punished!" Luofeng said.
"I don’t need you to tell me that. Every unit that caused this incident is going to be heavily punished!" Huang Qiyang said.
If it hadn’t been for their negligence in testing the oxygen supply equipment, this air disaster wouldn’t have happened, right?
Don’t punish them? Then who are we supposed to hold accountable?
"Second, I’m guessing the fact that I managed to land safely in one go has you all a bit suspicious, yeah?" Luofeng said.
"Did you study aviation?" Huang Qiyang asked.
"Yeah!" Luofeng nodded.
That part couldn’t be hidden.
You can fool ordinary people, but making these guys believe a random story? No way.
"Publicly, you can say this kid is a game master, that there’s a game which realistically simulates landing a plane, and it just so happens he’s played it! That’s how he saved all those lives!" Luofeng said.
"That excuse actually works!" Huang Qiyang nodded.
Around nine in the evening, Luofeng arrived at Cloud View International.
He went straight to Duanmu Yunji’s apartment and saw her playing the piano. Qin Rubing surprisingly wasn’t there today?
Duanmu Yunji looked toward the door, stopped playing, and got up to walk over to Luofeng.
Luofeng took the initiative and pulled Duanmu Yunji into his arms, stroking her hair like petting a cat. "Missed me?"
"Mm-hmm!" Duanmu Yunji didn’t deny how much she’d missed him. She hugged Luofeng tightly and whispered, "I missed you."
"I missed you too," Luofeng said.
"Then why didn’t you come see me?" Duanmu Yunji countered.
"I was afraid your Teacher Yang would kill me!" Luofeng joked.
Duanmu Yunji pouted playfully. "Teacher’s been asking why you haven’t come by either. She thought you were here last week! Because I accidentally showed up half an hour late!"
Hahaha.
So, even without Luofeng, Duanmu Yunji would be late, okay?
"By the way, where’s my little wifey?" Luofeng said with a grin.
"Rubing? She’s across the hall," Duanmu Yunji said.
"Oh?" Luofeng was puzzled.
Weren’t Duanmu Yunji and Qin Rubing on pretty good terms?
Normally they were both in Duanmu Yunji’s apartment, right?
Duanmu Yunji playing piano, Qin Rubing dancing?
Duanmu Yunji guessed what Luofeng was thinking, wrapped her arms around his neck and said coquettishly, "Did you forget something?"
Luofeng knowingly played dumb. "Forget what?"
Duanmu Yunji didn’t answer, just hmph’ed and stared at him.
Luofeng laughed. "Haha, I know, tomorrow’s your birthday, right?"
Duanmu Yunji smiled, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly.
"So Rubing wants to give us a whole day alone, huh?" Luofeng said with a wicked smile.
"Here I thought you’d have some grand ambition. Turns out it’s just making the semifinals?" Luofeng teased. "Is this competition really that hard? Oh right, how would someone with my skills do if I entered?"
Faced with Luofeng’s line, Duanmu Yunji burst out laughing. "Luo the Immortal, are you telling jokes now?"
When she laughed...
It caused an unbeatable ripple.
It really had a flavor all its own.
And this was with her not wearing any game "equipment" at all.
Made Luofeng really want to start another round.
"My skills aren’t that bad, right?" Luofeng said.
"Compared to normal people, sure, you’re not bad. But in the eyes of professionals, that’s a different story!" Duanmu Yunji said. "Forget the international piano competition—even in our school’s internal ranking of top players, you wouldn’t make it!"
Of course Luofeng knew exactly where he stood.
He was just trying to make the little beauty laugh.
If he didn’t tease her, how would he get to enjoy that gorgeous ripple?
"Sigh, anyway, winning the whole thing is really hard. Our school only has two slots. If we win this year, our school can get two extra slots next time!" Duanmu Yunji said seriously.
Luofeng still had the cat ears in hand. "Since it’s that intense, don’t you want to go practice a bit more?"
"Ahh, no, I’m already—" Duanmu Yunji was about to start another round.
Because Luofeng kept teasing her cat ears.
She was getting into it.
After about half an hour, Duanmu Yunji regretted it. She really was that classic ’noob but loves to play.’
She hurriedly pushed at Luofeng. "Go make trouble with Rubing, I need to practice the piano now!"
Luofeng teased, "Okay, okay, you’re selling out your bestie again, huh?"
"If you weren’t so handsy! This is all your fault!" Duanmu Yunji said coquettishly.
There’s no helping it.
With a beauty in your arms, how could you not pet the cat?
And cat ears are such a good thing too.
